Pay Range

The pay range for this position is between $50,000.00 – $150,000.00.
Starting wage may vary based on a number of factors including, but not limited to, the position being offered, location, education, training, and/or experience. The Home Depot offers additional competitive and non-financial benefits, which may include a performance-based bonus program or a profit sharing program depending on position.
Position Purpose:
We are in the early phase of evaluating and adopting SAP Business Technology Platform. While this role needs a well-rounded background in SAP Application Development Technologies, we are looking for someone who can think beyond traditional SAP technologies and be instrumental in building the bridge to more modern SAP technologies & concepts like Extension Suite, Clean Core, BTP, and Integration Suite.
The Staff Engineer is responsible for independently developing and consistently redesigning/refactoring a product to adapt to our customers and associate’s needs. As a Staff Software Engineer, you will be part of a dynamic team with engineers of all experience levels who help each other build and grow technical and leadership skills while creating, deploying, and supporting production applications. In addition, Staff Software Engineer may be involved in product and tool selection, configuration, security, resilience, performance tuning and production monitoring as well as mentoring less experienced engineers.
Key Responsibilities:
- 7+ Years of Proven experience in SAP development with a deep understanding of SAP technologies and modules. Experience can be either in ABAP or Fiori.
- BTP Experience gained either in real projects or developing proof of concepts.
- Thorough understanding of architectural implications and trade-offs with BTP Technologies
- This role is going to be hands-on coding and expected to deliver high quality code against the business requirements working with functional counterparts, architects and developers.
- Strong knowledge of SAP best practices, coding standards, and quality assurance, Transport movements
- Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills, Team player

- This position typically reports to Software Engineer Manager or Sr. Manager

Travel Requirements:
- No travel required.
Physical Requirements:
- Most of the time is spent sitting in a comfortable position and there is frequent opportunity to move about. On rare occasions there may be a need to move or lift light articles.
Working Conditions:
- Located in a comfortable indoor area. Any unpleasant conditions would be infrequent and not objectionable.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Must be eighteen years of age or older.
- Must be legally permitted to work in the United States.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Knowledge and experience of various services offered under SAP BTP. Evaluating and using the right BTP Services.
- Experience with SAP Extension Suite. Knowledge and practice of choosing appropriate extension style. On-Stack Vs Side by Side.
- Experience in SAP integrations that integrate S/4HANA with other systems using BTP, CPI, and APIM, ensuring that the architecture meets both current and future business needs.
- Experience in practicing DevOps principles.
- Knowledge of Cloud applications programming model and its architectural implications.
- Experience in SAP Fiori app sap standard, extension, and new app creation.
- Programming Skills nontraditional SAP languages/frameworks. Example: Node.js and/or Java as well as OData and SOAP Experience
- Candidate must be able to think Architecturally on their own feet and should be able propose solutions.
- Minimum Education:
- The knowledge, skills and abilities typically acquired through the completion of a bachelor's degree program or equivalent degree in a field of study related to the job.

Paid Time Off (PTO):
