Pay Range
The pay range for this position is between $50,000.00 – $120,000.00.
Starting wage may vary based on a number of factors including, but not limited to, the position being offered, location, education, training, and/or experience. The Home Depot offers additional competitive and non-financial benefits, which may include a performance-based bonus program or a profit sharing program depending on position.
Position Purpose:
This position acts as a critical support function to Associate Merchant Product Development (APDM). This role is responsible for driving the successful development and timely launch of home textile products. In this role, you will own the project management throughout the development lifecycle which will include maintaining detailed project trackers, and overseeing all aspects of sku onboarding and sample management. This position will facilitate clear and timely communication of project statuses across cross-functional teams, global sourcing offices and vendors. In addition, this role will support cost negotiations by preparing quote sheets and providing insightful cost analyses. You will act as the subject matter expert on your category, and will be accountable for accurate data capture, data integrity and system maintenance. This position will also support APDM by conducting competitive research, writing detailed agendas/recaps for vendor meetings, and performing adhoc projects. Overall, this is a highly cross-functional role requiring effective collaboration and communication with Merchandising, Inventory Planning, Quality Assurance, Creative and external vendors. This person should seek opportunity for process improvement and partner effectively across these functional groups to drive efficiencies and ensure timely launches. This position requires an individual that is self-motivated, solution-oriented and capable of independently managing multiple projects across a breadth of responsibilities.
Key Responsibilities:
- 10% Analysis – Provide market, industry, and competitive expertise and analysis to drive product positioning. Work with cross functional team to provide back-up support on marketing collateral development, new product launches, packaging development, and brand messaging that helps drive revenue and margins
- 10% Liaison – Serve as liaison between Business Development and Supplier Factories; Maintain competitive benchmarking awareness with customers, sales, and marketing
- 20% Online – Provides copy, key words, images, Q&A Answers and marketing language for homedepot.com. Utilizes the THD Online Enrichment Process feedback to enhance product listings on website
- 10% Process Improvement – Develop process and improve upon current internal processes to drive efficiencies for both online data enrichments as well as on-boarding. Participate in project teams to provide input regarding product data changes needed as a result of website or other business changes; Research data issues and errors and partner with IT and business partners to resolve
- 50% Tracking and Reporting – Tracks and reports progress towards goals, proactively resolves issues to avoid delays, escalates as required

Travel Requirements:
- Typically requires overnight travel less than 10% of the time.
Physical Requirements:
- Most of the time is spent sitting in a comfortable position and there is frequent opportunity to move about. On rare occasions there may be a need to move or lift light articles.
Working Conditions:
- Located in a comfortable indoor area. Any unpleasant conditions would be infrequent and not objectionable.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Must be eighteen years of age or older.
- Must be legally permitted to work in the United States.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Proven experience in product development, preferably within home textiles or a related category
- Strong project management skills; demonstrated track record of taking ownership and driving results across multiple projects simultaneously
- Skilled in working independently with an ability to be flexible and adaptable to shifting priorities
- High attention to detail and extremely organized
- Strong ability to collaborate and work effectively with cross-functional teams and global vendors
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, PowerPoint) with a proven track record of learning new systems and processes
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
