Pay Range
The pay range for this position is between $120,000.00 – $130,000.00.
Starting wage may vary based on a number of factors including, but not limited to, the position being offered, location, education, training, and/or experience. The Home Depot offers additional competitive and non-financial benefits, which may include a performance-based bonus program or a profit sharing program depending on position.
Position Purpose:
Regional Asset Protection Manager (RAPM) is responsible for ensuring Asset Protection initiatives and programs are executed within the region. Key responsibilities include but not limited to; analyzing and managing regional shrink performance, detecting, investigating and resolving theft and fraud, delivering shrink goals and ensuring Asset Protection processes are executed by the field team. The RAPM works with the Regional and District teams to drive theft mitigation and shrink and ensure physical security processes provide safe and secure environment for store teams, associates and customers. Partners with internal and external stakeholders to gain cross functional support and alignment. The RAPM is responsible for coaching and training of the field Asset Protection teams within the region. The RAPM reports directly to the Sr Field AP Manager and leads a field team of Multi-Store Asset Protection Managers (MAPMs), Sr. Asset Protection Supervisors and Asset Protection Specialists.
Key Responsibilities:
- 30% – Delivery and Execution – Maintains close alignment with Region/District leaders to monitor progress for shrink mitigation programs and awareness. Accountable for improved shrink performance, internal and external investigations for Theft and Fraud and Physical Security initiatives. Identifies and resolves issues to ensure the Asset Protection Field team meet strategic and metric performance goals. Execute the company's Asset Protection programs and initiatives within the region.
- 40% – People – Responsible for onboarding and training for the Asset Protection field team, coaching and development and communication of all Asset Protection processes, programs, and trends. Drives accountability to the Asset Protection deliverables, including region, district and store shrink goals, and physical security standards with direct reports. Accountable for direct supervision of the work activities of others. Planning, monitoring and reviewing work of subordinates. Leads, plans, and coordinates work teams to ensure effective performance. Utilizes metrics to track performance and manage workload. The Regional Asset Protection Manager leads the Multi-Store Asset Protection Managers and the field team organization to drive alignment and engagement for all Asset Protection initiatives and programs that mitigate shrink, reduce theft and fraud, and maintain physical security standards. Development of teams that drive AP performance towards achievement of quality standards and performance metrics. Ensure priorities align with objectives and goals. Coach and mentor employees providing ongoing performance feedback. Develops leaders and builds a deep talent bench for leaders by driving the succession planning and selection; Drives the development of direct reports by conducting annual and mid-year reviews, reviewing individual development plans and providing performance feedback; Ensures adherence to major and minor work rule policies referenced in the Standards of Performance and all company SOPs. The Regional Asset Protection Manager is responsible selection, termination, compensation, performance appraisal, discipline, and professional development of direct reports.
- 30% – Strategy and Planning – Drives communication and alignment to Regional and District team leaders on all AP initiatives, strategies and mitigation efforts to ensure awareness and alignment. Drives engagement for Asset Protection programs with store, district and regional leaders ensuring the execution of strategies and processes through the Multi-store Asset Protection Manager (MAPM) and field teams within an assigned region. Internal and external case activity, supporting investigative efforts, analyzing information and intelligence to establish prosecutable cases and restitution recovery. Leads outlier management of stores that have shrink results not meeting company shrink guidelines within a Region and adapt strategies as necessary with the field team to reduce shrink.
Direct Manager/Direct Reports:
- This Position typically reports to Dir Asset Protection.
- This role has 10-15 direct reports.
Travel Requirements:
- Typically requires overnight travel more than 50% of the time.
Physical Requirements:
- Frequent periods are spent standing or sitting in the same location with some opportunity to move about; occasionally there may be a need to stoop or lift light objects (typically less than 8 pounds).
Working Conditions:
- Typically located in a comfortable indoor area. There may be regular exposure to mild physical discomfort from factors such as dust, fumes or odors, temperature extremes, loud noise, strong drafts, or bright lights.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Must be 18 years of age or older.
- Must be legally permitted to work in the United States.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite
- Working knowledge of presentation software (e.g., Microsoft PowerPoint)
- Demonstrated ability to collaborate and work effectively with cross-functional teams
- Ability to draw accurate conclusions from financial documentation
- Ability to negotiate, handle complaints, settle disputes, and resolve grievances with both internal and external customers
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
