Pay Range
The pay range for this position is between $24.00 – $26.00.
Starting wage may vary based on a number of factors including, but not limited to, the position being offered, location, education, training, and/or experience. The Home Depot offers additional competitive and non-financial benefits, which may include a performance-based bonus program or a profit sharing program depending on position.
The Associate Support Department Supervisor (ASDS) is a central point of contact for store associates and also provides direct support to the store leadership team. The ASDS is responsible for generating associate schedules and for assisting with hourly staffing, orientation and training processes. This role assists with timely completion of hourly performance reviews and supports the Store Manager in hourly succession planning. The ASDS coordinates service and recognition awards. The ASDS also supports a productive work environment by ensuring maintenance on the break room, training room, and
communication boards. The position is also responsible for ensuring that hourly HR records are properly sent to the HRSC. Due to the sensitivity of information handled, the ASDS must maintain strict confidentiality. The position is a direct report to the Store Manager, with dotted-line reporting to the District Human Resources Manager.
MAJOR TASKS AND RESPONSIBILITIES
SCHEDULING
-
Reviewing sales and hours forecasts with the Store Manager for the time periods being scheduled.
-
Producing and interpreting performance graphs from the Labor Management system to review recent scheduling effectiveness on a department by department basis and discussing these with the Store Manager.

Maintaining associate data in automated system to record associate default department assignments, secondary assignments and associate availability.
-
Editing associate schedules at the direction of the store management team.
-
Producing and then reviewing proposed schedules with the Store Manager.
-
Posting final associate schedules prior to established deadline.
-
Ensuring Schedule Variances are worked by salaried managers.
-
Providing store management team with schedule adherence details.
STAFFING
-
Welcoming candidates and escorting them to interviews.
-
Create, manage and close job requisitions Assisting the Store Manager in preparing job offers, including background and drug test paperwork.
-
Maintaining and ordering all new hire forms.
-
Coordinating new hire orientation.
-
Validating new hire I-9 information.
-
Assigning coaches for new associates.
-
Assisting Store Manager with changes in department- and store-level staffing needs and interdepartmental staffing moves.
-
Power Hours.
-
Assist the front end during peak traffic times to ensure proper line management/coverage.

Promote GET and other Company selling behaviors through on-the-floor interaction.

Coach associates to do their jobs effectively by providing excellent customer service, developing strong product knowledge, and providing the right solution for each customer.

Participate in on-the-floor selling with distance learning participants and new associates to evaluate effectiveness of training.

Workshop Administration.
-
Manage logistics of in-store workshops/clinics/community events including in-store signing and ordering materials.
-
Follow up and provide support to In-Store Customer Workshops, Do It Herself Workshops and Kids Workshop captains.

Drive execution and attend In-Store Customer Workshops, Do It Herself Workshops and Kids Workshop, demos, and Power Hours Demo.

Work with SM to design and execute in-store product excitement events and efforts to improve in-store environment.
-
Assist in creating an inviting and inclusive environment that increases community involvement (i.e. cultural awareness events, bilingual where necessary, etc.).
TRAINING & DEVELOPMENT

Schedule and coordinate associate training, In-store Distance Learning and Orientation.
-
Monitor training completion to ensure on time completion of required learning.

Identify seasonal training opportunities to create and build bench for secondary departments.
-
Learning Management System Administration.
-
New Associate Coach Program follow up and administration.
PERFORMANCE MANAGEMENT
-
Setting up and maintaining quarterly associate performance review schedules and incorporating these schedules into the Scheduler system as needed.

Follow up with Department Supervisors and Assistant Store Managers to ensure timely performance reviews.
-
Ensure hourly performance codes and wage changes are entered on schedule.
-
Partner with Store Manager and ASMs on the development plans of high potential associates.
ASSOCIATE ENGAGEMENT

Coordinating receipt and distribution of service awards and tracking of all associate recognition programs.

Coordinate Town Hall meetings and action planning.
-
Maintaining common area standards for break room, training room, and communication boards.
-
As associate needs arise, direct associates to partner with Store Manager, District Human Resource Manager and/or Associate Advice and Counsel Group to find solutions suitable for the associate.

Maintain documentation of current Affirmative Action Program, Accommodation Interactive.

Process, and other compliance related programs.
