The Senior Director Field AP will be responsible for driving consistency in the execution and monitoring of AP (Asset Protection) strategies relating to theft and fraud mitigation, operation excellence, safety and environmental compliance. This role will identify potential for loss and partner cross-functionally with corporate and field teams to develop strategies to eliminate loss.
Key Responsibilities:
- 30% Collaborates with SSC Functional teams to develop and implement strategic initiatives that improve and drive outlier performance in AP and Safety metrics. Act as a conduit for field issues and feedback and works to ensure resolution.
- 25% Provide overall Field AP Program support and acts as liaison for SSC (Store Support Center) AP teams
- 25% Steer improvement in investigations, outlier management, and crisis / emergency response by partnering with SSC team to allocate appropriate resources. Work to coordinate Investigations / Organized Retail Crime teams based on priority and impact of field activity
- 10% Partner with shared services to ensure TOM activities are aligned with current priorities
- 10% Oversees the development and engagement of associates to ensure continually increasing competency and productivity in their role. Provides leadership and fosters professional growth of the team to prepare for future roles.
Direct Manager/Direct Reports:
- This position reports to the VP Asset Protection.
- This position has 3-5 direct reports.
Travel Requirements:
- Typically requires overnight travel more than 50% of the time.
Physical Requirements:
- Frequent periods are spent standing or sitting in the same location with some opportunity to move about; occasionally there may be a need to stoop or lift light objects (typically less than 8 pounds).
Working Conditions:
- Located in a comfortable indoor area. Any unpleasant conditions would be infrequent and not objectionable.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Must be eighteen years of age or older.
- Must be legally permitted to work in the United States.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Understanding of retail profitability, and the ability to analyze data, identify trends and provide solutions to reduce shrink
Minimum Education:
- The knowledge, skills and abilities typically acquired through the completion of a bachelor’s degree program or equivalent degree in a field of study related to the job.

Multisite – An associate in a multisite role is required to work from multiple locations (e.g., Home Depot locations and/or a customers’ homes) in order to complete their job duties. We also refer to this as location – multisite.
