The Sr. Supply Chain Analyst develops new tools and processes to support Home Depot’s supply chain goals and objectives. Responsibilities include the identification of problems through analysis, creating sustainable solutions, and influencing key decision makers on supply chain strategies. Areas of concentration include channel strategy, supply chain metrics, and inventory managment strategy and execution.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop new forecasting, order replenishment and logistics channel decision processes. Identify all key stakeholders, owners, and resources needed to execute. Educate and influence all key supply chain stakeholders on the benefits of the new processes. Communicate, monitor and improve all processes as needed.
- Develop decision support tools and financial models to analyze the cost/benefit tradeoffs of inventory changes. Analyze multi-tier distribution channels to determine cost and service level tradeoffs for product catagories. Develop forecasting tools to support collaborative planning with merchandising suppliers. Conduct day-to-day business analysis supporting the supply chain managers.
- Support all central replenishment activities including: 1) development of new forecasting tools 2) meeting with vendors to collaborate inventory forecasting and replenishent strategies 3) partner with merchants to plan for promotions, price changes, and sku exit strategies 4) manage the day-to-day replenishment activities 5) answer store replenishment questions 6) report and follow up on all key inventory metrics
- Mentor and assist in the supervision of analysts to ensure accuracy, timeliness, and overall project completion. Train and educate analysts on supply chain strategies, inventory management strategies, analysis techniques and tool development. Provide access to a broad range of resources and business contacts for the analysts to be successful in their projects.
- Coordinate analysis, gather supply chain best practices and develop strategies in support of supply chain business case development.
Direct Manager/Direct Reports:
- Typically reports to Supply Chain Manager
- Accountable for direct supervision of the work activities of others. Planning, monitoring and reviewing work of subordinates is required. This may include direct supervision of a shift or the coordination of multiple work groups. Makes recommendations concerning selection, termination, performance appraisal and professional development.
Travel Requirements:
- Typically requires overnight travel less than 10% of the time.
Physical Requirements:
- Most of the time is spent sitting in a comfortable position and there is frequent opportunity to move about. On rare occasions there may be a need to move or lift light articles.
Working Conditions:
- Located in a comfortable indoor area. Any unpleasant conditions would be infrequent and not objectionable.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Must be eighteen years of age or older.
- Must be legally permitted to work in the United States.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Background related to supply chain systems implementation, channel strategy, inventory management strategy or replenishment within a multi-tiered distribution environment
- Experience managing a team or served as a project lead
- Relevant retail experience
- Strong working knowledge using Microsoft Access, Visual Basic and/or SQL. Directly related work experience in supply chain, logistics or inventory management.
Minimum Education:
- The knowledge, skills and abilities typically acquired through the completion of a bachelor’s degree program or equivalent degree in a field of study related to the job.

Hybrid – An associate in a hybrid role blends in-office and remote/virtual working to complete their job duties. An associate may be required to work from a designated Home Depot location on some days, and may work from a virtual/remote location on others. We also refer to this as location – flex.
