Position Purpose:
The primary responsibility is to build equity in The Home Depot's Private Brand Portfolio. In addition, this position supports Private Brand growth strategies through all marketing vehicles and business resources representing millions of dollars in Home Depot sales.
The Manager – Brand Development is responsible for ensuring the consistent execution of brand standards across all consumer touchpoints, including brand strategy, product requirements, communication guidelines, and packaging standards, in partnership with the Sr. Manager – Brand Development. This role involves leading cross-functional teams to implement these plans across the business while also creating and executing institutional processes to enhance control and execution of Home Depot's private brands. Additionally, the Manager will develop and implement brand- and category-specific marketing plans, serve as a marketing strategy consultant, and help shape the company’s strategies for seasonal events and merchandising initiatives.
Key Responsibilities:

- Collaborate with Product Development and Engineering teams to develop category-level product requirements aligned with brand positioning.
- Drive competitive benchmarking and consumer research as needed.
- Coordinate with international teams to ensure consistent global application of brand strategy and product requirements.

- Lead the development of Brand Guides for the applicable brand, partnering with the Sr. Manager – Brand Development for alignment.
- Develop integrated marketing plans (internal and external) and lead project initiatives across all elements of the marketing mix, managing and influencing other functions within THD.

- Apply insights from consumer research to support private brand business growth.
- Participate in store walks and data-gathering opportunities to develop category knowledge and competitive intelligence.
- Explore and apply learnings from star ratings analysis.
- Identify growth opportunities based on analytics.

- Partner with PDMs and merchants to complete key business analyses, including:
- Marketplace and business conditions
- Share trends and competitive assessments
- Packaging, promotional evaluation, and product assortment
- SKU rationalization, pricing/sizing analysis, and market research analysis and implications.
Direct Manager/Direct Reports:
- This role reports to the Sr Manager of Brand Development.
- This position has no direct reports.
Travel Requirements:
- Typically requires overnight travel less than 10% of the time.
Physical Requirements:
- Most of the time is spent sitting in a comfortable position and there is frequent opportunity to move about. On rare occasions there may be a need to move or lift light articles.
Working Conditions:
- Located in a comfortable indoor area. Any unpleasant conditions would be infrequent and not objectionable.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Must be eighteen years of age or older.
- Must be legally permitted to work in the United States.

- MBA
