The Interconnected Strategy team is responsible for the development and execution of Home Depot’s overall interconnected and online business strategy. This includes identifying top opportunities based on market dynamics, developing efforts to address those opportunities, and ensuring adequate internal resourcing while building external relationships to support those efforts.
The Sr. Manager is a key leader on the Interconnected Strategy team, developing long-term strategic initiatives for HomeDepot.com, working directly with THD business leaders within and outside of the online organization, building and developing business relationships outside of THD, and managing direct reports to deliver on these responsibilities. The Sr. Manager receives exposure across THD’s business and has the opportunity to cultivate trusted relationships with senior business partners while affecting change from within one of the world’s leading retailers.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead one or more interconnected strategy and operational execution projects, including overseeing the efforts of junior team members
- Address business problems by structuring issues and prioritizing analyses
- Collaborate with business partners by driving cross-functional initiatives and serving as a thought-partner for top priority topics
- Present readouts and work materials to senior leadership teams
- Stay abreast of external developments (including innovations and strategies of notable competitive and non-competitive retailers) to identify opportunities and threats
- Oversee the career development and day-to-day efforts of Analysts and Sr. Analysts on the team
Direct Manager/Direct Reports:
- Position reports to Sr. Director, Strategy
- Associates may report to this role on a permanent basis and requires the leadership of a work group: assign and review work, train and contribute to performance appraisal (including hiring, firing or disciplinary action).
Travel Requirements:
- Typically requires overnight travel less than 10% of the time.
Physical Requirements:
- Most of the time is spent sitting in a comfortable position and there is frequent opportunity to move about. On rare occasions there may be a need to move or lift light articles.
Working Conditions:
- Located in a comfortable indoor area. Any unpleasant conditions would be infrequent and not objectionable.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Must be eighteen years of age or older.
- Must be legally permitted to work in the United States.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Previous work experience in either world-class retail / ecommerce or in professional services (e.g., strategy consulting, private equity, or investment banking) supporting such retail / ecommerce businesses
- MBA / Master’s degree
- Minimum of 6+ years of relevant work experience
- Strong skills in quantitative analysis, qualitative analysis and strategic problem solving
- Strong presentation skills and ability to communicate effectively with senior leadership
- Strong interpersonal skills
- Ability to lead and manage cross-functionally
- High degree of drive and personal ownership
- Comfort with framing and addressing ambiguous challenges
- High degree of confidentiality and professionalism
Minimum Education:
- The knowledge, skills and abilities typically acquired through the completion of a bachelor's degree program or equivalent degree in a field of study related to the job.

Paid Time Off Benefits
