CustomerService/Sales associates provide fast, friendly service by actively seeking outcustomers to assess their needs and provide assistance. These associates havean emphasis on department and product knowledge, providing information onproduct features, and knowing related items to sell an entire project.Associates in this position know how to greet, qualify, recommend and closeevery customer in their department, and know how to handle basics in adjacentdepartments. Customer Service/Sales associates maintain the in-stock conditionof assigned areas, and ensure that it is clean, shoppable, and safe. Eachassociate has the responsibility of providing a safe working and shoppingenvironment by following all safety policies & standards, completingspecified safety training, immediately correcting hazards & unsafeconditions or reporting conditions to the Manager On Duty, and working safelyas not to endanger themselves, co-workers, vendors, or customers. Theseassociates work in cooperation with their Department Supervisor and other associatesin their department as well as other departments. Specific store departmentsmay include Building Materials, Décor, Electrical, Flooring, Garden, Hardware,Kitchen & Bath, Lumber, Millwork, Paint, Plumbing and Tool Rental. TheCustomer Service/Sales position types may include Department Sales, LeadGenerator, Pro Account Sales, Sales Specialist, Special Services, and CustomerOrder Specialist.

Onsite – An associate in an onsite role is required to work at a specific Home Depot location in order to complete their job duties. We also refer to this as location – dependent.

As part of the application process for this role, there will be an on-line assessment. The assessment usually takes about 17 minutes to complete. You will be directed to the assessment link immediately after submitting your application. Once you click on the link, you will need to complete it within 72 hours after starting it. You may stop and restart the assessment as many times as you like within the 72-hour time frame.
