CustomerService/Sales associates provide fast, friendly service by actively seeking outcustomers to assess their needs and provide assistance. These associateslearn about products using our tools, and provide information to customers inorder to sell an entire project. Associates in this position will learnhow to greet, qualify, recommend and close every customer in their department,and know how to handle basics in adjacent departments. CustomerService/Sales associates maintain the in-stock condition of assigned areas, andensure it is clean, shop-able, and safe. Each associate has the responsibilityof providing a safe working and shopping environment by following all safetypolicies & standards, completing specified safety training, immediatelycorrecting hazards & unsafe conditions or reporting conditions to theManager on Duty, and working safely as not to endanger themselves, co-workers,vendors, or customers. These associates work in cooperation with theirDepartment Supervisor and other associates in their department as well as otherdepartments. Specific store departments may include Building Materials,Décor, Electrical, Flooring, Garden, Hardware, Kitchen & Bath, Lumber,Millwork, Paint, Plumbing and Tool Rental. The Customer Service/Sales positiontypes may include Department Sales, Lead Generator, Pro Account Sales, SalesSpecialist, Special Services, and Customer Order Specialist.

As part of the application process for this role, there will be an on-line assessment. The assessment usually takes about 17 minutes to complete. You will be directed to the assessment link immediately after submitting your application. Once you click on the link, you will need to complete it within 72 hours after starting it. You may stop and restart the assessment as many times as you like within the 72-hour time frame.
