Pay Range
The pay range for this position is between $100,000.00 – $160,000.00.
Starting wage may vary based on a number of factors including, but not limited to, the position being offered, location, education, training, and/or experience. The Home Depot offers additional competitive and non-financial benefits, which may include a performance-based bonus program or a profit sharing program depending on position.
Position Purpose:
Online Data Architect teams at The Home Depot coordinate with key stakeholders to determine data collection needs and write technical specs to support the translation of business requirements into databases, data warehouses, and data streams. They work closely with engineers to ensure the internal customer’s data needs are captured. They analyze, plan, and define data architecture framework, including security, reference data, metadata, and master data. Data Architects create and implement data management processes and procedures to ensure accuracy and accessibility.
Key Responsibilities:
- 20% – Business Collaboration – Leverage extensive business knowledge into solution approach; Effectively develop trust and collaboration with internal customers and cross-functional teams; Partner with Other Orgs to understand potential for new tools and ways to maintain technical agility for advanced analytics.
- 25% – Project Management & Team Support – Lead and manage large and complex projects and teams; Provide direction on prioritization of work and ensure quality of work; Collaborate with managers and team in the distribution of workload and resources; Serve as a technical subject matter expert (SME) on both predictive and prescriptive analytics; Drive effective Agile project delivery protocols to assure we gather and surface reliable, actionable enterprise level analytics ; Ensure the team comprehends and applies the established processes and standards and mentor team on development.
- 30% – Solution Development – Effectively communicate insights and recommendations to both technical and non-technical leaders and business customers/partners; Clearly communicate impacts of recommendations to drive alignment and appropriate implementation; Develops solutions to transform data into useful, actionable information.
- 25% – Technical Exploration & Development – Guide and direct project teams in the requirements gathering, design, and development of complex applications/programs; Provide technical education on advanced analytics to analytics community; Drive analytics teams to get matured in predictive and prescriptive analytics.

Travel Requirements:
- Typically requires overnight travel less than 5% to 20% of the time.
Physical Requirements:
- Most of the time is spent sitting in a comfortable position and there is frequent opportunity to move about. On rare occasions, there may be a need to move or lift light articles.
Working Conditions:
- Located in a comfortable indoor area. Any unpleasant conditions would be infrequent and not objectionable.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Must be 18 years of age or older.
- Must be legally permitted to work in the United States.
- Demonstrate 3 or more of the following:
- Knowledge on database architecture frameworks
- Procedures for increasing database accuracy and accessibility
- How to develop requirements for the business's data needs related to databases, data warehouses, and data streams
- Knowledge of the business to support stakeholder data needs
Preferred Qualifications:
- Masters in a quantitative field (Analytics, Computer Science, Math, Physics, Statistics, Management, etc.) or relevant work experience
- Experience writing specs and requirements and configure Adobe Analytics for site tagging
- Proficient with data tools such as GCP Big Query, Mini Tab, Workfront, or SQL
- Knowledge of how to support the infrastructure for clickstream data (social media impression data on the marketing side), so teams can pull for data products and insights
- Experience translating a request into the capturing needs, criteria involved, and variables involved

Paid Time Off Benefits
