Position Purpose:
The Senior Manager will be responsible for developing and executing labor scheduling strategies across all Supply Chain facilities, serving as the subject matter expert on the Dimensions (UKG) Timekeeping and Scheduling system. This individual will lead a team of three to four direct reports and collaborate cross-functionally with Human Resources, distribution center operators, Supply Chain leadership, and other SSC-based teams. This Sr. Manager will serve as the primary point of contact for all schedule-related matters including system configurations, shift structures, shift lengths and break times, shift premiums, etc.
This team ensures accurate system configurations, enabling distribution centers to effectively manage their staff. The Senior Manager is tasked with prioritizing Supply Chain requirements for both Dimensions and WFT, supporting a flexible workforce and enhancing visibility into critical data for informed business decisions. Furthermore, the role involves maximizing the value of existing tools to drive operational excellence and identifying innovative opportunities to deliver additional organizational value.
A key focus area will be staffing and scheduling within Market Delivery Operations (MDOs), working to enhance delivery speed and reduce costs. The team is also responsible for integrating all aspects of Staffing & Scheduling to support field leaders and facilitate comprehensive understanding of the Supply Chain Labor Strategy.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide support and direction for area's efforts.
- Manage all aspects of assigned area's of operations and programs.
- Participate in strategic planning and facilitate action on these plans for the assigned area. Provide technical logistics expertise on assigned area as well as store/retail expertise as needed..
- Plan resources in order to complete competing priorities within the provided timeframe. Prepare project design and timelines.
- Select, develop, and motivate assigned staff. May have limited authoirty to negotiate transportation costs for in-bound and/or outbound freight.
Direct Manager/Direct Reports:
- Typically reports to Supply Chain Management.
- May have Direct and indirect reports
- Typically requires highly developed interpersonal skills for dealing with sensitive or controversial situations.
- Typically faces situations that have a variety of interpretations and require careful evaluation.
- Typically considers new approaches within general policies and short-term goals when solving problems.
- Typically, once given general assignments, determines priorities and defines what should be done and how to do it.
Travel Requirements:
- Typically requires overnight travel less than 10% of the time.
Physical Requirements:
- Most of the time is spent sitting in a comfortable position and there is frequent opportunity to move about. On rare occasions there may be a need to move or lift light articles.
Working Conditions:
- Located in a comfortable indoor area. Any unpleasant conditions would be infrequent and not objectionable.
- Under regular pressure to meet deadlines, quotas and/or must frequently deal with difficult issues related to people or situations.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Must be eighteen years of age or older.
- Must be legally permitted to work in the United States.
Preferred Qualifications:
- · Minimum 5 years of experience in Supply Chain, Workforce Management, and/or other Operations roles
- · Operator and/or Human Resources experience working in a Supply Chain facility
- · Experience building managing direct reports and growing careers
- · Demonstrable Project Management experience and organizational skills
- · Familiarity with Timekeeping and Scheduling tools / systems
- · Ability to build strong relationships and effectively communicate to various audiences, particularly working with operators in the field and working in distribution centers
- · Experience leading technical associates responsible for data analysis and data visualization (i.e. MS Excel, GBQ, Tableau, etc.) and comfort doing simple analysis
- BS in Management or STEM-related fiel
