Position Purpose:
The position provides effective program management and governance of tollgates for key projects for cross-functional HR projects/programs. This role ensures a standard, defined approach is used for key projects and monitors the execution of project tasks. The Sr HR Program Manager will deliver key project artifacts and shares responsibility and accountability with the HRLT for the successful completion of on-time deliverables. This role simultaneously manages multiple projects with multi-million dollar budgets and large scale impacts to the business and maintains dashboards and consolidated calendars for all. This position is familiar with Project and Program Management in an Agile environment and has skills in forecasting, budgeting and financial program reporting.
Key Responsibilities:
- 20% Controls project scope, schedule and cost. Ensures that blueprint plan is being followed with each project. Provides thought leadership to the creation of project plans and facilitates work sessions and key meetings.
- 20% Works seamlessly with competing priorities, fluid situations and stakeholder alignment facilitation.
- 20% Coordinates program changes or potential program changes to the baseline and ensures the approved changes are communicated and implemented.
- 20% Ensures project information is communicated to the project team and stakeholders. Assists business in compiling timelines, communication plans, written status reports, and scorecards. Aids in selection of success metrics for proof of concepts, pilots, and rollouts.
- 10% Determines and documents project issues/risks and tracks timely mitigation/resolution.
- 10% At the completion of a project or project phase, captures key lessons learned and communicates to PMO and business. Effectively applies lessons learned in subsequent projects.
Direct Manager/Direct Reports:
- Reports to Sr. Director of HR Operations
- This position has no direct reports
Travel Requirements:
- Typically requires overnight travel less than 10% of the time.
Physical Requirements:
- Most of the time is spent sitting in a comfortable position and there is frequent opportunity to move about. On rare occasions there may be a need to move or lift light articles.
Working Conditions:
- Located in a comfortable indoor area. Any unpleasant conditions would be infrequent and not objectionable.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Must be eighteen years of age or older.
- Must be legally permitted to work in the United States.
Preferred Qualifications:
- PMP Certification
- Proven experience managing large scope projects
Minimum Education:
- The knowledge, skills and abilities typically acquired through the completion of a bachelor's degree program or equivalent degree in a field of study related to the job.

Hybrid – An associate in a hybrid role blends in-office and remote/virtual working to complete their job duties. An associate may be required to work from a designated Home Depot location on some days, and may work from a virtual/remote location on others. We also refer to this as location – flex.
