Position Purpose:
The Senior Coach is responsible for working with balanced teams and leaders (consisting of user experience, product management, engineering, etc.) to assess the team's ability to deliver on business goals and customer outcomes, identify areas needing improvement, and support teams' continuous improvement through customized coaching programs and workshops. The Senior Coach has extensive experience in Agile methodologies in highly matrixed organizations and has a proven track record in delivering results. The Senior Coach serves as a trusted, unbiased advisor to leadership on building high-performing teams. This role reports into the CREST (Coaching for Results, Experiences, Speed and Teams) organization within Enterprise Product Management.
Key Responsibilities:
- 40% – Delivery & Execution – Coaches Teams, Managers and Sr. Managers, and presents to various levels of leadership. Identifies and leverages tools designed to drive desired outcomes including organizing and facilitating workshops, 1:1 coaching, etc. Leads communication with the stakeholders including regular progress readouts with integrated review of qualitative and quantitative insights.
- 30% – People – Works directly with balanced teams and its leaders to assess the team’s ability to deliver on business goals and customer outcomes, and identify areas needing improvement. Coaches, instructs, collaborates and supports teams for the duration of customized program. Builds strong relationships by instilling trust with team members and its leaders
- 30% – Strategy & Planning – Creates OKRs; defines outcomes and metrics for improvement. Builds customized programs (coaching plans) that are tailored to each engagement to address defined OKRs
Direct Manager/Direct Reports:
- This Position typically reports to the Manager or Sr Manager
- This Position has 0 Direct Reports
Travel Requirements:
- Typically requires overnight travel 5% to 20% of the time.
Physical Requirements:
- Most of the time is spent sitting in a comfortable position and there is frequent opportunity to move about. On rare occasions, there may be a need to move or lift light articles.
Working Conditions:
- Located in a comfortable indoor area. Any unpleasant conditions would be infrequent and not objectionable.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Must be 18 years of age or older
- Must be legally permitted to work in the United States
Preferred Qualifications:
- Minimum 5+ years of Agile Coaching experience at large enterprise companies
- Has a proven track record in delivering results/ leading teams in one or several balanced team disciplines
- Experience coaching balanced teams comprised of UX, Engineering, and Product Management
- Experience coaching leadership
- Experience building customized programs (coaching plans) for teams on areas they can most improve
- Jira (extensive knowledge)
- Jira Align (some knowledge is highly preferred)
- Effective story telling (PowerPoint)
- Great interpersonal skills and the ability to build and foster relationships

Hybrid – An associate in a hybrid role blends in-office and remote/virtual working to complete their job duties. An associate may be required to work from a designated Home Depot location on some days, and may work from a virtual/remote location on others. We also refer to this as location – flex.
