Position Purpose:
The Accounting Operations (Accounting Ops) team functions as a strategic partner focused on supporting business growth within a controllership organization. The Fixed Asset Manager oversees a team of associates and senior associates, responsible for guiding team activities, maintaining customer service, and improving processes and delivery. This role manages daily operations for their specific area collaborating with project teams and off-shore partners. The Fixed Asset Manager coaches team members and supports their development of business and technical skills. The person in this role ensures service delivery to multiple stakeholders and engages effectively with their team. Collaboration with other Controllership team members and organizational stakeholders is essential for aligning strategies, sharing information, and completing transactions efficiently. These duties require strong communication skills, relationship building, and leveraging business knowledge to suggest solutions and provide recommendations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage the fixed asset accounting process, including the recording of acquisitions, disposals, transfers, and depreciation.
- Lead and mentor a team of accounting professionals, providing direction and support to ensure high performance and professional growth.
- Foster a collaborative and inclusive work environment, encouraging open communication and teamwork.
- Set performance goals and conduct regular evaluations to ensure team members are meeting expectations and achieving their objectives.
- Ensure accurate and timely reconciliation of fixed asset accounts.
- Prepare and review fixed asset reports and schedules for internal and external reporting.
- Collaborate with other departments to ensure proper classification and recording of fixed assets.
- Monitor and ensure compliance with company policies and accounting standards related to fixed assets.
- Assist in the development and implementation of fixed asset policies and procedures.
- Provide guidance and support to team members on fixed asset accounting matters.
- Participate in audits and provide necessary documentation and explanations related to fixed assets.
- Identify and implement process improvements to enhance the efficiency and accuracy of fixed asset accounting.
Direct Manager/Direct Reports:
- This Position typically reports to FBS Sr Manager
- This Position has 6 Direct Reports
Travel Requirements:
- Typically requires overnight travel less than 10% of the time.
Physical Requirements:
- Most of the time is spent sitting in a comfortable position and there is frequent opportunity to move about. On rare occasions there may be a need to move or lift light articles.
Working Conditions:
- Located in a comfortable indoor area. Any unpleasant conditions would be infrequent and not objectionable.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Must be eighteen years of age or older.
- Must be legally permitted to work in the United States.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Preferred Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- Ability to anticipate work needs and interact professionally with customers
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail

Paid Time Off Benefits
