Position Purpose:
The primary purpose of this role is to develop supplier strategies that advance Home Depot’s supplier relationship, fulfillment compliance, overall online value proposition and process management.
The Sr. Mgr., Supplier Operations must ensure that all projects are in alignment with the goals of the organization and use expertise in strategic thinking, process design and quantitative analysis to drive successful and major improvements in supplier relations (and product management). Develop a tactical strategy for Home Depot’s supplier management processes and onboarding, including serving as the primary business POC for supplier tooling.
The Sr. Mgr., Supplier Operations will ensure supplier management program includes stakeholder engagement, organizational alignment, communications and cross-functional collaboration. This position is responsible for developing strong partnerships with Merchants, Assortment Planning, Catalog, Finance, Information Technology and other groups as needed to ensure solutions meet needs of the organization.
This individual provides direct and indirect leadership/management across a project team of 20+ professionals and works closely with business partners to ensure organizational objectives are met. This role requires preparation and delivery of presentations and written documentation to all levels of the organization to communicate the various aspects of supplier management initiatives, including goals, timelines and detailed updates.
Key Responsibilities:

40% Guide and provide oversight in teams independent thinking and judgment to identify and implement supplier management strategy

20% Lead online team that strategizes around online value proposition and supplier partnership strategy

20% Work across the organization to ensure supplier management tools are able to deliver on business expectations

Direct Manager/Direct Reports:
- Position reports to Senior Director, Supplier Scalability
- Accountable for direct supervision of the work activities of others. In addition to personnel issues — including selection, termination, performance appraisal and professional development of subordinates.
Travel Requirements:
- Typically requires overnight travel less than 10% of the time.
Physical Requirements:
- Most of the time is spent sitting in a comfortable position and there is frequent opportunity to move about. On rare occasions there may be a need to move or lift light articles.
Working Conditions:
- Located in a comfortable indoor area. Any unpleasant conditions would be infrequent and not objectionable.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Must be eighteen years of age or older.
- Must be legally permitted to work in the United States.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Online and/or Retail Store Experience. Both preferred.
- Ability to analyze, evaluate and interpret complex data from varying sources.
- Experience with relational databases. Epiphany and/ or omniture preferred.
Minimum Education:
- The knowledge, skills and abilities typically acquired through the completion of a bachelor's degree program or equivalent degree in a field of study related to the job.

Hybrid – An associate in a hybrid role blends in-office and remote/virtual working to complete their job duties. An associate may be required to work from a designated Home Depot location on some days, and may work from a virtual/remote location on others. We also refer to this as location – flex.
