Position Purpose:
The HDDC Builder Sales Specialist is responsible for building and maintaining strong relationships with builders, remodelers, and designers to drive sales for the local Home Depot Design Center showroom. The HDDC Builder Sales Specialist uses their understanding of the decorative construction industry and passion for fostering relationships to successfully drive sales within their market. This role focuses on identifying new business opportunities, enhancing customer satisfaction, maintaining strong relationships with showroom partners and executing effective sales strategies to drive revenue growth.

- Customer Relationship Management:
Cultivate and maintain meaningful relationships with custom builders, remodelers, and designers, ensuring satisfaction throughout the entire sales process, from order to delivery and beyond. - Cross-Functional Collaboration:
Work closely with the design center leadership, sales teams, and post-sale support to deliver a seamless customer experience. Foster teamwork and ensure alignment across departments to optimize client satisfaction and business outcomes. - Team Collaboration:
Work collaboratively with the showroom sales team, existing Outside Sales Representatives (OSRs), and back-end operations to foster a high-performance team environment.
Sales & Sales Support 30%
- Sales Performance Monitoring:
Track sales activities and results using Salesforce. Regularly analyze performance metrics to identify opportunities for improvement and ensure sales targets are met. - Sales Strategy and Business Development:
Collaborate with the Builder Sales Manager to develop and refine sales strategies, identify new business opportunities, and target potential new accounts. - Problem Resolution:
Assist in managing product quotations, addressing customer inquiries, and resolving any issues promptly and effectively to ensure customer satisfaction. - Market and Competitive Analysis:
Continuously monitor market trends and competitor activity within your territory. Use this data to inform sales strategies and identify areas for growth.
Self Development 20%

Engage in ongoing learning and professional development, stay informed about product knowledge and industry trends to ensure a professional image and high performance in the field.

Travel Requirements:
- Typically requires overnight travel 20% to 50% of the time.
Physical Requirements:
- Requires intermittent periods during which continuous physical exertion is required, such as walking, standing, stooping, climbing, and lifting material or equipment, some of which may be heavy or awkward.
Working Conditions:
- Usually in a comfortable environment but with regular exposure to factors causing moderate physical discomfort from such things as dust, fumes, or odors
Minimum Qualifications:
- Must be 18 years of age or older
- Must be legally permitted to work in the United States
Preferred Qualifications:
- Demonstrated ability to collaborate and work effectively with cross-functional teams
- Ability to negotiate, handle complaints, settle disputes, and resolve grievances with both internal and external customers
- Strong understanding of customer project needs in Flooring, Kitchen/Bath, Appliances or interior projects
- Experience in product selection, project coordination, and quoting processes
- Prior experience in the construction/home improvement industry experience
- Prior experience managing residential home improvement install projects
- Comfortable leading training sessions and supporting Outside Sales Representatives with ongoing development
- Excellent presentation, negotiating, and influencing skills
