Pay Range
The pay range for this position is between $140,000.00 – $290,000.00.
Starting wage may vary based on a number of factors including, but not limited to, the position being offered, location, education, training, and/or experience. The Home Depot offers additional competitive and non-financial benefits, which may include a performance-based bonus program or a profit sharing program depending on position.
The Director of Delivery Management is a very experienced project professional responsible for leading a combination of planning and execution of activities related to delivery of large initiatives and/or financial/budgeting activity for their teams. Directors are responsible for leading a team of project management professionals. They are also responsible for attracting, retaining, and developing top talent. When leading project delivery, Directors support their team in execution of their large, cross functional initiatives, providing strategies for effective cross-team management. They may also be responsible for leading large, cross functional initiatives across the organization. When performing financial/budgeting activities they are responsible for fostering and maintaining vendor relationships. They develop and oversee, influence, and guide fiscal management and reporting across all stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities:
- 70% Delivery & Execution – Understands and implementation strategy to align with organizational goals. Applies outcome-focused thought leadership and critical thinking across matrix organizations;Directs multiple portfolios, programs, projects, resource management, investment, and/or PMO translating translate business objectives into execution practices (tactical and strategic); lead and successfully execute the strategy through strong collaboration and agile leadership; Strategizes, socializes, and drives standards of delivery Ability to negotiate priorities across matrix organization Support and execute against quarterly planning and prioritization. Applies lessons learned to inform future initiatives; Plans and aligns IT project management/delivery to meet organizational goals. Guides technical solutioning through understanding of dependencies and risks. Collaborates with cross-functional partners and stakeholders to ensure the best service delivery for our internal and external customers; Manages risks across multiple portfolios. Establishes contingency plans Anticipates and manages dependencies. Influences senior leadership to act on risk mitigation recommendations Analyzes project metrics to identify weaknesses or problems and to propose improvements for future projects; Strategizes, socializes, and drives overall change management needs across both business and technology groups Champions change management processes and practices across portfolio. Drive the integration of technology investment into roadmaps
- 20% People Leadership – Provides leadership, mentoring, and coaching to direct reports; Manages and coordinates strategic direction for staff
- 10% Resource & Financial Management – Partners with functional and technical leaders to identify, plan, and align to vendors that can provide capabilities needed to meet short and long-term business needs. Develops and executes strategic plans including market analysis and industry benchmarks in support of key objectives; Provides strategic direction of fiscal management and reporting for operational, product/business, technology, and vendor stakeholders

- This role typically reports to Technology Vice President
- This Role has 5 Direct Reports
Travel Requirements:
- Typically requires overnight travel 5% to 20% of the time.
Physical Requirements:
- Most of the time is spent sitting in a comfortable position and there is frequent opportunity to move about. On rare occasions there may be a need to move or lift light articles.
Working Conditions:
- Located in a comfortable indoor area. Any unpleasant conditions would be infrequent and not objectionable.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Must be eighteen years of age or older.
- Must be legally permitted to work in the United States.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite
- Working knowledge of Tableau
- Working knowledge of presentation software (e.g., Microsoft PowerPoint)
- Ability to draw accurate conclusions from financial documentation
- Demonstrated project management skills
- Ability to negotiate, handle complaints, settle disputes, and resolve grievances with both internal and external customers
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Proficient in defining, communicating, and driving value propositions, success metrics, and outcomes
- Proficient in shaping, aligning, and guiding execution of strategic direction for a domain or significant portfolio segment
- Proficient in communicating, building influence, and developing relationships with functional and technical leaders, with high-level vendor partners, and across all levels in the organization
- Proficient in selecting and leading strategic vendor relationships or acting as the primary point of contact for strategic partnerships
- Proficient in managing and developing direct reports with their own span of control
