Position Purpose:
The Virtual Sales Supervisor will lead a team of virtual sales associates who are focused on selling, managing, and growing relationships with The Home Depot's professional customers. The supervisor will be responsible for onboarding, training, coaching to sales quotas, managing schedules, and day-to-day sales team operations. They will also provide guidance, mentorship, and help build their team to support Home Depot’s Pro Growth strategy. Candidates will be located in a designated market and must be able to work remotely (technology) and led teams in a virtual setting.
Key Responsibilities:
- 30% – Customer Focus – Drives excellent customer service through daily associate engagement, coaching associates on customer service behaviors and effective and timely communication; Provides solutions and guidance to direct reports for resolution; serves as point of escalation for transactions and takes partnership to ensure timely follow up and customer satisfaction; Monitors associates customer interactions and provides in the moment coaching and guidance on behaviors.
- 40% – Leadership – Supports the building and development of an effective and high-performing team through training, coaching, and development of associates; Provides hands on coaching in order to improve and maintain team performance and is responsible for performance management process (evaluations, mentoring, corrective action) for direct reports; Leads and directs in a manner that fosters celebrating, inspiring, and driving engagement.
- 30% – Operations – Coaches associates on team metrics and reporting. Troubleshoots operational problems; partners with Manager to identify operational improvements; Directly organizes and supervises day-to day-team operations and activities to achieve key performance goals including portfolio metrics, maximizing sales and gross profit, monitoring team productivity and service levels for quality.

- This Position typically reports to the Manager
- This Position has 12 Direct Reports
Travel Requirements:
- Typically requires overnight travel 5% to 20% of the time.
Physical Requirements:
- Most of the time is spent sitting in a comfortable position and there is frequent opportunity to move about. On rare occasions, there may be a need to move or lift light articles.
Working Conditions:
- Located in a comfortable indoor area. Any unpleasant conditions would be infrequent and not objectionable.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Must be 18 years of age or older
- Must be legally permitted to work in the United States
Preferred Qualifications:
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite
- Working knowledge of presentation software (e.g., Microsoft PowerPoint)
- Demonstrated ability to collaborate and work effectively with cross-functional teams
- Ability to draw accurate conclusions from financial documentation
- Demonstrated project management skills
- Ability to negotiate, handle complaints, settle disputes, and resolve grievances with both internal and external customers
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Degree or certification in related field
- Experience with sales techniques such as consultative selling
- Proficiency in MS Excel and Salesforce, or similar CRM
- Proven ability to meet or exceed sales goals

Paid Time Off Benefits
Salaried associates are eligible for 2 weeks of vacation in their first year; FT hourly will be eligible for 40 hours of paid vacation time after 6 months of continuous service; (for positions in Washington State, Spokane, and Tacoma only) – Salary and Temporary associates will earn 1 hour of sick time for every 40 hours worked; FT associates will earn 1 hour of sick time for every 40 hours worked or 4 hours per month, whichever is greater; (for positions in Seattle only) – Salary and Temporary associates will earn 1 hour of sick time for every 30 hours worked; FT associates will earn 1 hour of sick time for every 30 hours worked or 4 hours per month, whichever is greater.
