Position Purpose:
The Home Depot is seeking a proven leader with deep experience in Retail Media and Media to build a best-in-class monetization program for the nation's #1 home improvement retailer. The Head of Sales is responsible for the all revenue planning, forecasting and reporting of secured and collected revenue. This individual is responsible for the development of Orange Apron Media advertising product packages, pricing strategies, client tier definitions, reporting metrics and cadence and value-add services. The Head of Sales will be responsible for building and leading a strong sales team and account management team for Orange Apron Media with the ultimate purpose of producing client satisfaction. This person will be responsible for forming relationships, offerings and strategies with vendors, non-endemic vendor brands and agencies.
Key Responsibilities:
- 40% – Business Optimization – Build and champion commerce marketing business development for the company, provide strategic direction and drive key components of program and business drivers through interconnected and influential leadership. Promote and grow the business alongside internal and external partners including Marketing, Merchandising, Advertising Agencies, Vendors, etc. to scale and achieve incremental revenue streams and targets
- 30% – Drives Results – Drive internal incentives, produce revenue forecasts and goals, build product packages and offerings
- 30% – Plans and Aligns – Build and champion commerce marketing business development for the company, provide strategic direction and drive key components of program and business drivers through interconnected and influential leadership. Promote and grow the business alongside internal and external partners including Marketing, Merchandising, Advertising Agencies, Vendors, etc. to scale and achieve incremental revenue streams and targets
Direct Manager/Direct Reports:
- This Position typically reports to the VP Orange Apron Media
- This Position has 4 Direct Reports
Travel Requirements:
- Typically requires overnight travel 5% to 20% of the time.
Physical Requirements:
- Most of the time is spent sitting in a comfortable position and there is frequent opportunity to move about. On rare occasions, there may be a need to move or lift light articles.
Working Conditions:
- Located in a comfortable indoor area. Any unpleasant conditions would be infrequent and not objectionable.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Must be 18 years of age or older
- Must be legally permitted to work in the United States
Preferred Qualifications:
- Masters of Business Administration is strongly preferred
- Experience leading merchandising, marketing and/or eCommerce initiatives responsible for driving sales growth
- Proven experience in scaling a business, creating a cross-functional strategy, and delivering outstanding results
- Strong understanding of digital media landscape and market opportunities through the use of un-traditional revenue streams
- Proven experience with B2B sales and maintaining vendor relationships
- Previous experience with retail, eCommerce, and onsite and offsite media product offerings (monetization) is highly preferred
- Technically savvy with a thorough understanding of technology functionality and capabilities
- Ability to use data to drive key and impactful decision-making and quality
- Understanding of Ad Ops and Marketing Technology
- Strong leadership skills and experience managing highly cross-functional teams through effective communication, positive culture building and engagement and accountability
- Ability to gain consensus, develop and deliver against strategic road maps and time lines
- Strong verbal written and communication skills and ability to operate at all levels of the organization including interacting with Senior Leadership, external partners and vendors

Hybrid – An associate in a hybrid role blends in-office and remote/virtual working to complete their job duties. An associate may be required to work from a designated Home Depot location on some days, and may work from a virtual/remote location on others. We also refer to this as location – flex.
