Position Purpose:
The Manager, Photography and Video role is responsible for overseeing the Photography, Videography and Set Grip departments at Studio Orange, High Point. This role oversees the production of photo and video assets, ensuring that all brand standards are met and all content created is of the highest possible standards, while adhering to production schedules and budgets. The Manager, Photography works closely with the Manager of Art Direction/Interior Design and with all other studio departments to meet production goals. This role works to research and acquire new photography and lighting equipment as well as in training and overseeing the Photographers, Videographers and Set Grips use of lighting and camera equipment while ensuring adherence to safety standards. The Manager, Photography, must be an excellent multi-tasker, having a strong skillset that includes a combination of time management, organization, mental agility, and the ability to easily delegate and supervise tasks.
Key Responsibilities:
- 20% – Continuous Improvement- Drive creative excellence, best practices and consistent creative execution across all channels; improve creative quality by studying, evaluating and improving creative methods used.
- 20% – Leadership & People Management- Mentor, develop and coach team members through project development and performance management. Attract, retain, and develop top creative talent to build a world-class in-house agency production studio.
- 50%- Production Workflow Management- Manage and execute production schedules and full lifecycle of deliverables associated with digital campaigns. Oversee the creative process and ensure the work is on brief and on brand. Ensure the smooth running of the creative team’s workflow keeping teams informed and up-to-date and that deadlines are met, and issues escalated. Drive efficiency.
- 10%- Relationship Building- Support and maintain relationships by communicating updates across teams and help prepare materials for updates. Identify and partner with cross-functional team on opportunities for improvements in creative process, timelines, approvals and other opportunities.
Direct Manager/Direct Reports:
- This Position typically reports to Sr. Manager, Content Production
- This Position has 18 Direct Reports
Travel Requirements:
- Typically requires overnight travel less than 5% of the time.
Physical Requirements:
- Most of the time is spent sitting in a comfortable position and there is frequent opportunity to move about. On rare occasions, there may be a need to move or lift light articles.
Working Conditions:
- Located in a comfortable indoor area. Any unpleasant conditions would be infrequent and not objectionable.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Must be eighteen years of age or older.
- Must be legally permitted to work in the United States.
