The Senior Manager of Delivery Management is a very experienced project professional responsible for leading a combination of planning and execution of activities related to delivery of large initiatives and/or financial/budgeting activity for their teams. Senior Managers are responsible for leading a team of project management professionals. They are also responsible for attracting, retaining, and developing top talent. When leading project delivery, Senior Managers support their team in execution of their large, cross functional initiatives, providing strategies for effective cross-team management. They may also be responsible for leading large, cross functional initiatives across the organization. When performing financial/budgeting activities they are responsible for fostering and maintaining vendor relationship. They develop and oversee, influence, and guide fiscal management and reporting across all stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities:
- 40% Delivery & Execution – Awareness of overall change management needs across both business and technology groups. Champions change management processes and practices across portfolio programs, project and/ initiatives. Collaborates with stakeholders to integrate technology changes into the overall change roadmap; Works with stakeholders to support the project planning effort including scoping, defining of the project deliverables, creating a logical work breakdown structure, and defining major project milestones. Supports and guides manager and team members on related activities; Champions Project Management best practices: Collaborates with other leaders to create standards and processes that increase business value and mitigate risks. Supports and executes against quarterly planning and prioritization. Applies lessons learned to inform future initiatives; Champions issue / obstacle resolution to maintain team momentum and productivity Develops strategic approaches to determine and align dependencies, proactive risk and issues identification and mitigation plans; Sets outcome-focused goals and ensures accountability to deliver on commitments Supports Manager and team to remove obstacles
- Drives the delivery of large, complex programs across matrix organization or manages delivery management resources for one or more portfolios; Understands organizational/initiative goals and success criteria to apply to project work. Proactively identifies barriers and partners with leadership teams to mitigate. Champions ideas, analysis, and recommendations to improve processes and increase business value; Champions and applies effective communication methods to ensure alignment across various audiences. Seeks to understand and apply stakeholder perspectives. Ability to influence decisions and negotiate positive outcomes with stakeholders
- 35% People Leadership – Provides leadership, mentoring and coaching to direct reports; Attracts, retains, and develops top talent
- 25% Resource & Financial Management – Oversight, influence, and guidance of fiscal management and reporting for operational, product/business, technology, and vendor stakeholders; includes gross labor, capital spend, and non-labor forecasting for tracking, reporting, and variance analysis; Fosters and maintains strategic vendor relationships Partners with leadership to select and onboard strategic vendor partners based on the organization’s strategic needs Supports Manager and team as point of escalation to ensure vendor policies are followed
Direct Manager/Direct Reports:
- This Position typically reports to Director of Delivery Management

Travel Requirements:
- Typically requires overnight travel less than 10% of the time.
Physical Requirements:
- Most of the time is spent sitting in a comfortable position and there is frequent opportunity to move about. On rare occasions there may be a need to move or lift light articles.
Working Conditions:
- Located in a comfortable indoor area. Any unpleasant conditions would be infrequent and not objectionable.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Must be eighteen years of age or older.
- Must be legally permitted to work in the United States.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite
- Working knowledge of Tableau
- Working knowledge of presentation software (e.g., Microsoft PowerPoint)
- Demonstrated ability to collaborate and work effectively with cross-functional teams
- Ability to draw accurate conclusions from financial documentation
- Demonstrated project management skills
- Ability to convey complex or technical ideas and processes in easy-to-understand terms to diverse audiences
- Ability to negotiate, handle complaints, settle disputes, and resolve grievances with both internal and external customers
- Experience managing alignment across projects in an enterprise environment
- Experience managing strategic vendor relationships or acting as the primary point of contact for strategic partnerships
- Subject matter expertise in the planning and execution of projects and risk mitigation strategies in a modern software environment via multiple methodologies
- Experience translating ideas, approaches, and dependencies between technical and functional team members
- Deep experience with Microsoft Office tools and Project Management tools (MS Project, JIRA, etc.)
- Experience communicating program status, risks, issues, and needs to senior leaders, and managing up
- Proficient in managing and growing team members in a professional setting
- Experience with budget operations and financial leadership

- The knowledge, skills and abilities typically acquired through the completion of a bachelor’s degree program or equivalent degree in a field of study related to the job.
