Position Purpose:
The Home Depot is investing in the customer experience inside our stores and is looking for top notch talent to drive innovation. The Sr. Analyst, Visual Merchandising will be primarily responsible for identifying opportunities to drive sales, formulating business cases in support of those ideas, and then leading the execution of resulting small-to-medium sized projects. They will also generate thoughtful insights and reporting for a broad variety of customer-focused innovations. The Senior Analyst, Visual Merchandising should be passionate about how our customers shop both in our stores and Online both now and in the future and willing to advocate for ideas that solve legacy and emerging customer pain points. They should be fluent in acquiring, analyzing, and interpreting data and have excellent storytelling & communication skills to reach a variety of audiences. They should have a demonstrated track record of thinking out of the box to imagine the future, this individual should also be able to get in the weeds and manage details of project execution. They should be a juggler, capable of managing multiple projects and competing priorities to drive excellence and timely completion.
Key Responsibilities:
- 35% Project Planning and Management: Develops project plans, then manages cross-functional work groups to execute project plan. Pro-actively identify obstacles to success and solutions to those obstacles with manager.
- 30% Measurement & Reporting: Measures and reports on in-store experience innovation programs and projects to multiple constituencies ranging from front-line store associates to executive leaders. Generates customer insights and recommendations.
- 15% New Content Ideation: Imagines and advocates for new ways to solve existing and new customer pain points and keep The Home Depot ahead of the curve in the in-store experience.
- 10% Communication and Training: Communicates with store associates and store management as well as Store Support Center-based management on project progress and risks.
- 10% Product Management: Defines, articulates and documents needs & objectives, scope and business requirements for projects. Thinks creatively to make recommendations regarding execution strategies.
Direct Manager/Direct Reports:
- This position reports to the Sr Mgr Visual Merch S&I.
- This position has 0 direct reports.
Travel Requirements:
- Typically requires overnight travel less than 10% of the time.
Physical Requirements:
- Most of the time is spent sitting in a comfortable position and there is frequent opportunity to move about. On rare occasions there may be a need to move or lift light articles.
Working Conditions:
- Located in a comfortable indoor area. Any unpleasant conditions would be infrequent and not objectionable.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Must be eighteen years of age or older.
- Must be legally permitted to work in the United States.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite
- Working knowledge of presentation software (e.g., Microsoft PowerPoint)
- Demonstrated ability to collaborate and work effectively with cross-functional teams
- Ability to draw accurate conclusions from financial documentation
- Demonstrated project management skills
- Ability to convey complex or technical ideas and processes in easy-to-understand terms to diverse audiences
- Ability to negotiate, handle complaints, settle disputes, and resolve grievances with both internal and external customers
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills

Hybrid – An associate in a hybrid role blends in-office and remote/virtual working to complete their job duties. An associate may be required to work from a designated Home Depot location on some days, and may work from a virtual/remote location on others. We also refer to this as location – flex.
