Pay Range
The pay range for this position is between $101,000.00 – $175,000.00.
Starting wage may vary based on a number of factors including, but not limited to, the position being offered, location, education, training, and/or experience. The Home Depot offers additional competitive and non-financial benefits, which may include a performance-based bonus program or a profit sharing program depending on position.
Position Purpose:
Manage the design and development of key organization effectiveness projects, programs, and processes. Serve as consultant to mid-level and senior leaders across The Home Depot to optimize effectiveness of business initiatives. Hold accountability for key OE area(s) (Selection Tools, Assessment Processes, Associate Surveys). Utilize the capabilities of more junior members the OE team, but will be self-managing in project execution, influencing others for resource allocation and acceptance of direction. Propose solutions to key organizational issues to Talent Management leadership.
Key Responsibilities:
- 20% Driving Business initiatives — provide OE consultation and support to the strategy teams for any new business/process initiatives (e.g., Attrition Reduction)
- 60% OE Program Design and Development — Design and develop specific OE programs and processes as needed by the business to improve performance (e.g., Individual and Organizational Assessments)
- 5% Talent Development — Serve as support/coachg for key Talent Management Processes (Multi rater feedback, Talent Planning facilitator)
- 5% Support of Strategic Change/Organization Design initiatives – provide change management consulting support to OD/TM team.
- 5% Serve as expert consultant to members of THD HR community, providing sound guidance in areas that include selection, assessment, measurement, evaluation, leadership, change, facilitation, metrics, etc. Maintains up-to-date knowledge of best practices in area of specialty
- 5% Assists other members of OE with projects, provides guidance to junior members of team, provides direction to contact resources as needed for project completion
Direct Manager/Direct Reports:
- Position reports to Sr Mgr Talent and Performance Management
- Number of Direct Reports – 0
Travel Requirements:
- Typically requires overnight travel less than 10% of the time.
Physical Requirements:
- Frequent periods are spent standing or sitting in the same location with some opportunity to move about; occasionally there may be a need to stoop or lift light objects (typically less than 8 pounds).
Working Conditions:
- Located in a comfortable indoor area. Any unpleasant conditions would be infrequent and not objectionable.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Must be eighteen years of age or older.
- Must be legally permitted to work in the United States.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Bachelors in I-O Psychology, Organizational Behavior, Applied Psychology or related field
- 8+ years work experience in the areas of talent planning, strategy, and performance management
Minimum Education:
- The knowledge, skills and abilities typically acquired through the completion of a master's degree program or equivalent degree in a field of study related to the job.

Paid Time Off Benefits
Salaried associates are eligible for 2 weeks of vacation in their first year; FT hourly will be eligible for 40 hours of paid vacation time after 6 months of continuous service; (for positions in Washington State, Spokane, and Tacoma only) – Salary and Temporary associates will earn 1 hour of sick time for every 40 hours worked; FT associates will earn 1 hour of sick time for every 40 hours worked or 4 hours per month, whichever is greater; (for positions in Seattle only) – Salary and Temporary associates will earn 1 hour of sick time for every 30 hours worked; FT associates will earn 1 hour of sick time for every 30 hours worked or 4 hours per month, whichever is greater.
