The Sr. Director, Supply Chain works with cross-functional business partners across the Supply Chain and Distribution network, Field Operations teams, Merchandising and IT organizations; drives external relationships with third party providers. Excellent executive communication skills, ability to lead and manage change, drive process improvements and a demonstrated ability to deliver results in large-scale business units are critical to the success of this position.
Key Responsibilities:
- 20% Designs initiatives and develops strategies to increase the effectiveness of the Supply Chain function.
- 20% Uses high level strategic thinking to develop end-to-end solutions that provide large scale impacts to the Supply Chain.
- 15% Builds plans for sustainability and long-term success of Supply Chain functional goals and initiatives
- 15% Reviews financial performance, safety issues, morale issues and service- and inventory levels to ensure optimal functioning of the Supply Chain area(s) of responsibility.
- 15% Builds relationships with cross – functional business partners to drive product availability to stores.
- 15% Effectively manages and executes changes needed to drive business process improvements in functional area(s).
Direct Manager/Direct Reports:
- Typically reports to a Vice President of Supply Chain
- Accountable for the management of a department or functional group through subordinate supervisors/managers and for all personnel issues — including selection, termination, performance appraisal and professional development of subordinates.
Travel Requirements:
- Typically requires overnight travel 50%
Physical Requirements:
- Most of the time is spent sitting in a comfortable position and there is frequent opportunity to move about. On rare occasions there may be a need to move or lift light articles.
Working Conditions:
- Located in a comfortable indoor area. Any unpleasant conditions would be infrequent and not objectionable.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Must be eighteen years of age or older.
- Must be legally permitted to work in the United States.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Master's Degree in Supply Chain or related field
- 10 years Supply Chain Experience
- APICS certification
- Field Distribution Center leadership experience
- Demonstrated ability to lead large complex teams

Multisite – An associate in a multisite role is required to work from multiple locations (e.g., Home Depot locations and/or a customers’ homes) in order to complete their job duties. We also refer to this as location – multisite.
