Pay Range
The pay range for this position is between $70,000.00 – $180,000.00.
Starting wage may vary based on a number of factors including, but not limited to, the position being offered, location, education, training, and/or experience. The Home Depot offers additional competitive and non-financial benefits, which may include a performance-based bonus program or a profit sharing program depending on position.
Position Purpose:
Global Trade Risk Manager is a highly experienced and knowledgeable professional who understands complex import and export regulations of U.S. Customs and other government agencies. This role is responsible for managing C-TPAT Tier III program, First Sale for Export Program, and a full range of import/export customs operation and compliance activities. Uflpa exports operations and duty programs force labor enforcement.. export duty medigation programs..
Key Responsibilities:
- Evaluate potential operational or compliance risks and develop strategies for resolution
- Understand customs classification rules (GRI) and able to interpret customs/CIT rulings for both import and exports
- Understand various partner government agency's import requirements and able to provide assistance to cross-functional teams
- Manage Home Depot’s CTPAT Tier III Program, including audit assessments, evaluation of system, platforms and engagement with sourcing and responsible sourcing teams at overseas.
- Manage systems for trade risk including 3 platforms G360, SCAN SCM and FLEXPLM/Trade Beyond.
- Primary POC for GOM’s, (US, Canada and Mexico) Audit Service Providers, SCAN SCM Admin Team, ASO, ESO, ISO, LASO and VNSO
- Follow up on inaccurate/outdated data in FLEX PLM/Trade Beyond
- Provide data from FLEX PLM to SCAN Administrative team on factories due re-audits
- Evaluate New Factories in SCAN SCM for current valid SCAN audits
- Manage FCPA in partnership with legal team to provide training to internal and external stakeholders as well as assessments as part of ongoing efforts from SCAN association.
- Manage and support associates on all export operations
- Review International Order Requests (IOR’s) Further Review required Denied Party Screening, Restricted and Embargoed Country Screening, Incorrect unclear data
- Archive ID and End Use forms returned by store associates when required
- Responsible for data management, development, and analysis of performance metrics, identify problems and develop recommendations for Global Trade Export operations and International Logistics leadership
- Performs daily project activity coordination for multiple large-scale initiatives involving Export Compliance, First Sale and CTPAT program
- Solves problems by considering courses of action within the framework of business goals and standards
- Operates with minimal supervision and once given general assignments, prioritizes and executes tasks. Provides and communicates recommendations to upper management
- Must be a self-starter, detail-oriented, able to support and lead multiple projects, possess excellent communication skills, work well with a team, interact with multiple levels and functions with the logistics organization
- Performs development and implementation of process improvement opportunities associated with assigned projects
Major Tasks, Responsibilities and Key Accountabilities
- Utilizes quantitative skills to create and analyze data and reports to support business execution. Supports the business through ad-hoc queries and maintains reports from a variety of resources as specific to department or organizational needs
- Develops business tools and solutions based on knowledge, product or technology. Identifies process improvement opportunities through strategic thinking, critical thinking and analysis
- Performs data management through data mining/data modeling/data analysis/cost/benefit analysis/process mapping or problem analysis while executing day to day processes related to area of responsibility.
- Supports business through ad-hoc queries & maintains reports
- 5%-Manages vendor/business partner relationships
Education Required:
The knowledge, skills and abilities typically acquired through the completion of a bachelor’s degree program or equivalent degree in a field of study related to the job.
License Customs Broker Certified
Years of Relevant Work Experience:
Minimum 7 years in Customs Compliance related experience
Preferred 5 years in CTPAT, First Sale for Export Program and Export / Import Operations.
Preferred Qualifications:
Industrial Engineering, Business Administration, Math or Finance Degree Master’s Degree
Experience with Six Sigma or other Process Improvement Methodology.
Proficient in: Microsoft Office Suite including Access, Excel, PowerPoint, Project, Word and Visio.
Advanced Skills in: Access, SQL, Big Query, Tableau, Visual Basic Skills for Data Acquisition and Analysis, Process mapping skills, SSIS and data mining.

Typically requires travel less than 10% of the time.
Additional Requirements:
Must be eighteen years of age or older.
Must be legally permitted to work in the United States.
Physical Requirements:
Most of the time is spent sitting in a comfortable position and there is frequent opportunity to move about. On rare occasions there may be a need to move or lift light articles.
Paid Time Off Benefits
Salaried associates are eligible for 2 weeks of vacation in their first year; FT hourly will be eligible for 40 hours of paid vacation time after 6 months of continuous service; (for positions in Washington State, Spokane, and Tacoma only) – Salary and Temporary associates will earn 1 hour of sick time for every 40 hours worked; FT associates will earn 1 hour of sick time for every 40 hours worked or 4 hours per month, whichever is greater; (for positions in Seattle only) – Salary and Temporary associates will earn 1 hour of sick time for every 30 hours worked; FT associates will earn 1 hour of sick time for every 30 hours worked or 4 hours per month, whichever is greater.
