Position Purpose:
The Sr. Manager Physical Inventory Reconciliation (PIR) is responsible for leading two teams – Store PIR Research and DC PIR Research – in their research efforts to drive the most accurate shrink/swell bookings for our facilities. They are responsible for ensuring excellent customer service and seeking to continuously improve processes and delivery. The individual in the role will partner with their internal teams, Asset Protection and Field business partners, and leaders to solve complex business challenges. Sr. Managers provide coaching to team members, along with supporting their development of business and technical skills. The individual in this role will have proven experience leading people and for guaranteeing daily service delivery to multiple stakeholders across the company.
As a Sr. Manager, you will work closely with team members and leaders across the organization to align strategies and to ensure information is shared and transactions are completed effectively. These responsibilities require effective communication skills, building relationships and partnerships, and leveraging business proficiency to suggest solutions and provide recommendations. This role is expected to lead collaboration efforts, align strategies, improve processes and effectively manage talent.
Key Responsibilities:
- 20% Collaboration – Prioritizes and assigns projects using factors such as funding, return on investment, innovation or challenging work; Manages programs for the team to ensure consistency of execution, balance of resources and quality solutions; Collaborates with program managers and business partners to align on objectives and expectations and ensure project teams deliver against them
- 10% Continuous Improvements & Controls – Participates in the continuous improvement of processes; Oversees Internal Controls and drives compliance; Works closely with controls and compliance teams
- 30% Operational Duties & Oversight – Monitors team(s) progress against departmental goals; Monitors team(s) daily activities; Leads regular team meetings to address operations topics, improvements and projects that require monitoring and resolution; Serves as the second level escalation for risks and issues; Provides updates and recommendation to leaders at all levels of the organization on short- and long-term objectives and policies, program effectiveness, team accomplishments, summary of findings, and explain internal and external impacts; Oversees the administration of financial policies
- 30% People Management & Team Leadership – Provides leadership, mentorship and coaching to supervisors and managers; ensures teams are supported; Provides guidance on a regular basis, keeps connected with the team; Provides performance reviews and timely feedback to direct reports regarding performance, execution, and contribution; Recruits and hires staff; Manages the different team members with respect for all people, coaching them for bringing up the strengths and skills that will set a successful group of highly motivated and strong performers; Fosters collaboration with team members; develops a supportive and engaged team
- 10% Strategy Mindset – Leads transformational projects defined in conjunction with other areas or teams. Support the planning, execution and allocation of resources needed to run the project; Continuously aims to create shareholder value by proposing and supporting transformational ideas and projects; Drives adoption of leading-edge techniques and methods, both predictive and prescriptive
Direct Manager/Direct Reports:
- This Position typically reports to Director or Director
- This Position has about 2 Direct Reports
Travel Requirements:
- Typically requires overnight travel less than 10% of the time.
Physical Requirements:
- Most of the time is spent sitting in a comfortable position and there is frequent opportunity to move about. On rare occasions there may be a need to move or lift light articles.
Working Conditions:
- Located in a comfortable indoor area. Any unpleasant conditions would be infrequent and not objectionable.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Must be eighteen years of age or older.
- Must be legally permitted to work in the United States.
- Previous people or project team management experience
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills

Paid Time Off Benefits
Salaried associates are eligible for 2 weeks of vacation in their first year; FT hourly will be eligible for 40 hours of paid vacation time after 6 months of continuous service; (for positions in Washington State, Spokane, and Tacoma only) – Salary and Temporary associates will earn 1 hour of sick time for every 40 hours worked; FT associates will earn 1 hour of sick time for every 40 hours worked or 4 hours per month, whichever is greater; (for positions in Seattle only) – Salary and Temporary associates will earn 1 hour of sick time for every 30 hours worked; FT associates will earn 1 hour of sick time for every 30 hours worked or 4 hours per month, whichever is greater.
