Position Purpose:
Sr. Analyst, Business Intelligence Pricing will support the efforts to provide subject matter expertise, and analytical support to the development, execution and reporting of Pro Pricing Strategies. The Sr. Analyst will perform data analysis, solve business questions using their proven technical abilities, provide insights and suggestions based on analytical results and judgement. The Sr. Analyst is responsible for working collaboratively among other talented analysts to apply established and create new analytical processes on diverse datasets to deduce insights and solve real-world business problems. The Sr. Analyst will support pricing managers and merchants by helping them understand their business, test pricing strategies, and achieve their objectives. Also ensures that all reporting and analytical responsibilities are completed competently in a timely manner, continually seeks out opportunities to learn new and hone existing technical skills and operates under minimal supervision and mentorship of more experienced managers.
Key Responsibilities:
- 25% Data analytics with large volumes of data, including data cleansing, validation, testing; Storytelling and advanced problem solving
- 25% Collaborate with stakeholders, business partners, colleagues, developers, and business analysts to understand business problem and design high quality analytics solutions
- 25% Develop business intelligence visualization deliverables
- 25% Research and document best practices and standards for using our BI tools and solutions

- This position reports to the Manager or Sr. Manager.

Travel Requirements:
- Typically requires overnight travel less than 10% of the time.
Physical Requirements:
- Most of the time is spent sitting in a comfortable position and there is frequent opportunity to move about. On rare occasions there may be a need to move or lift light articles.
Working Conditions:
- Located in a comfortable indoor area. Any unpleasant conditions would be infrequent and not objectionable.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Must be eighteen years of age or older.
- Must be legally permitted to work in the United States.
- Experience working with SQL Server, Teradata, Oracle or comparable database system
- Experience working with large scale information retrieval and data analysis
Preferred Qualifications:
- 1-3 years of work experience in data analytics, financial analysis, statistical analysis, or business intelligence.
- B.S. in Analytics, Statistics, Finance, Math, Computer Science, or related quantitative fields. Master’s degree is a plus.
- Solid understanding of SQL, joining relational tables, exploratory data analysis, data validation and data pipeline creation/management.
- Experience building reports/analyses/visualizations with analytical tools (e.g. Tableau, PowerBI, Excel, etc.)
- Experience working within cloud data platforms (e.g. GCP, AWS etc.)
- Some experience in one other scripting/compiled/statistical programming language (e.g. Python, R, etc.)

- The knowledge, skills and abilities typically acquired through the completion of a bachelor's degree program or equivalent degree in a field of study related to the job.

Hybrid – An associate in a hybrid role blends in-office and remote/virtual working to complete their job duties. An associate may be required to work from a designated Home Depot location on some days, and may work from a virtual/remote location on others. We also refer to this as location – flex.
