Position Purpose:
The Sr. Manager, Merchandise Planning, will be responsible for execution of pricing reviews and strategic planning/analysis of online pricing programs. This individual would develop pricing & profitability analytics and provide insights needed to grow total market share. Responsible for analyzing data to identify opportunities across all depts and providing recommendations to senior leadership. Utilizes online tools and capabilities to ensure multi channel alignment.
Key Responsibilities:
- 40% Drive consistent category-level strategy planning with Merchants: coordination of necessary data from both store and online systems, development of project templates and concise reporting results for Online and Store Merchants
- 20% Responsible for the development of standard reporting tools, supervising data collection and reporting distribution
- 20% Partner with functional areas such as Product Management, Core Merchandising, and Category Experience to ensure effective solutions that can be leveraged across all areas
- 10% Manage work activites and provide development of direct reports
- 10% Serve as primarly liaison with Merchandising Execution team to ensure inclusion of online strategies in product line reviews and synergies between online and core merchandising assortments.
Direct Manager/Direct Reports:
- Position reports to Director, Online Merchandising Strategy
- Accountable for direct supervision of the work activities of others. In addition to personnel issues — including selection, termination, performance appraisal and professional development of subordinates.
Travel Requirements:
- Typically requires overnight travel less than 10% of the time.
Physical Requirements:
- Most of the time is spent sitting in a comfortable position and there is frequent opportunity to move about. On rare occasions there may be a need to move or lift light articles.
Working Conditions:
- Located in a comfortable indoor area. Any unpleasant conditions would be infrequent and not objectionable.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Must be eighteen years of age or older.
- Must be legally permitted to work in the United States.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Online and/or Retail Store Experience. Both prefereed.
- Ability to analyze, evaluate and interpret complex data from varying sources.
- Experience with relational databases. Epiphany and/ or omniture preferred.

Hybrid – An associate in a hybrid role blends in-office and remote/virtual working to complete their job duties. An associate may be required to work from a designated Home Depot location on some days, and may work from a virtual/remote location on others. We also refer to this as location – flex.
