SR ANALYST CATEGORY EXPERIENCE – PERSONALIZATION

Position Purpose:

The Sr. Analyst, Category Experience – Personalization works to understand merchandising plans and develop personalized strategies to support and drive the .com business. This position will analyze and leverage customer behavior as well as competitive benchmarking to identify areas necessary to improve the customer research/shopping experience through personalized targeting.  This role will present data-driven findings and actional insights in a clear concise manner to cross-functional partners and leadership. Ultimately these enhancements will result in improved engagement, conversion, retention, and customer lifetime value. This role is an opportunity to be at the leading edge of truly channel-interconnected retail leadership, while further building functional skills in merchandising.

Key Responsibilities:

• 40% Analyze customer information (external data, internal research, site behaviors, post-transaction data) to identify the most significant opportunities to improve the customer experience across categories.
• 30% Identify opportunities to improve taxonomy, purchase path (search and navigation), data content, SEO and post-transaction results through tactical execution.
• 15% Execute system changes for promotional activity.
• 15% Develop and execute taxonomy changes in the system necessary to support new onboarding and business changes.

Direct Manager/Direct Reports:

• Position Reports to Mgr, Catergory Experience.
• No direct reports.

Travel Requirements:

• Typically requires overnight travel less than 10% of the time.

Physical Requirements:

• Most of the time is spent sitting in a comfortable position and there is frequent opportunity to move about. On rare occasions there may be a need to move or lift light articles.

Working Conditions:

• Located in a comfortable indoor area. Any unpleasant conditions would be infrequent and not objectionable.
• No travel required

Minimum Qualifications:

• Must be eighteen years of age or older.
• Must be legally permitted to work in the United States.
• Proven results in any (but, including most) of the following areas: CI, CRM, customer experience, product content optimization, product management, financial analysis, business analysis, data analytics

Preferred Qualifications:

• Strong numeric and advanced analytics aptitude
• Understanding of e-commerce or retail-specific personalization strategies
• Strategic planning experience with a proven track record of building and executing strategic visions
• Experience working with website personalization software (i.e., Adobe Target, Optimizely, Dynamic Yield)
• Experience working in content management systems (i.e., Contentful, Adobe Experience Manager)
• Must be extremely detail-oriented and highly organized with a strong sense of urgency
• Excellent communication skills to effectively collaborate and coordinate tasks/projects with key stakeholders across the company
• Track record of taking ownership and driving results

Minimum Education:

• The knowledge, skills and abilities typically acquired through the completion of a bachelor's degree program or equivalent degree in a field of study related to the job.
