Position Purpose:
The Home Depot Foundation, the nonprofit arm of The Home Depot, works to improve the homes and lives of U.S. veterans, support communities impacted by natural disasters, and train skilled tradespeople to help fill the labor gap. Since 2011, the Foundation has invested more than $500M in veteran causes and improved more than 60,000 veteran homes and facilities. The Foundation has pledged to invest $750M in veteran causes by 2030 and $50 million in training the next generation of skilled tradespeople.
The Foundation additionally focuses on employee support and engagement through internal employee relief funds (“The Homer Fund”) and volunteerism opportunities (“Team Depot”).
The Senior Specialist Foundation – Technology & Operations will be responsible for operational and process excellence within The Home Depot Foundation, including The Homer Fund and Team Depot. In partnership with the Manager, Foundation Projects -Technology & Operations, this associate will map processes, determine process improvements, and work through implementation. This includes evaluation and implementation of new technologies. Additionally, the Senior Specialist will play a critical role in the Foundation by developing and implementing advanced reporting tools and dashboards. The ideal candidate will be a detail-oriented problem solver with strong analytical skills and a deep understanding of data systems and reporting methodologies.

- Operations – Providing insight and recommendations on program operations and policies
- Plan and implement Projects – Design, implement and manage programs Advance The Home Depot's portfolio by incorporating industry best practices
- Support program operations and strategies – Supports program operations and strategies to include budgets, impact goals, partnerships, storytelling, Executive project review and development of resources
Direct Manager/Direct Reports:
- This Position typically reports to a Manager or above

Travel Requirements:
- Typically requires overnight travel 5% to 20% of the time.
Physical Requirements:
- Most of the time is spent sitting in a comfortable position and there is frequent opportunity to move about. On rare occasions there may be a need to move or lift light articles.
Working Conditions:
- Located in a comfortable indoor area.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Must be eighteen years of age or older.
- Must be legally permitted to work in the United States.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience working with or within nonprofit organizations or associate support programs
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite.
- Demonstrated ability to analyze complex data sets and derive actionable insights.
- Proficiency in data visualization tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI) and reporting software.
- Strong experience with data management systems and databases (e.g., SQL, Excel, Access).
- Familiarity with programming languages (e.g., Python, R) is a plus.
- Experience managing projects, including planning, execution, and monitoring.
- Experience with APIs, cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, Google Cloud), data integration tools, or AI/ML frameworks.
- Proven track record of successful technology rollouts, certifications like PMP (Project Management Professional), or Agile/Scrum experience.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to convey complex information in an understandable manner.
- Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to work collaboratively with diverse teams and stakeholders.

- The knowledge, skills and abilities typically acquired through the completion of a high school diploma and/or GED.

Hybrid – An associate in a hybrid role blends in-office and remote/virtual working to complete their job duties. An associate may be required to work from a designated Home Depot location on some days, and may work from a virtual/remote location on others. We also refer to this as location – flex.
Work From Home – Location Specific – An associate in this role primarily works from home but is assigned a THD location and is periodically required to report to their in-office location. Associates must live within the same state and within a commutable distance of their assigned THD location.
