Pay Range
The pay range for this position is between $57,500.00 – $95,000.00.
Starting wage may vary based on a number of factors including, but not limited to, the position being offered, location, education, training, and/or experience. The Home Depot offers additional competitive and non-financial benefits, which may include a performance-based bonus program or a profit sharing program depending on position.
Position Purpose:
With minimal supervision, the Business Analyst supports the development of the Program Insights team with skills, tools, and methodologies that generate critical insights for key Talent Management and Development (TM&D) programs to enhance their effectiveness and execution. This includes translating business questions into actionable insights, support ongoing data needs, design tools to facilitate data-driven decisions and deliver high quality analytical solutions. Another area of responsibility is the cleansing, validation, and maintenance of TM&D data sources.
Key Responsibilities:
- 20% Organize, manage and execute curricula updates along with learning system updates and enhancements using business and systems expertise
- 20% Gather functional requirements, maintain documentation and develop analytics needed to drive field execution and support of learning initiatives, programs and rollouts.
- 20% Develop and design dashboards, reports and presentations designed to education, inform and influence business partners in regard to learning execution while supporting field initiatives and business objectives.
- 20% Assists with training, education and handling customer service questions in regard to the Learning Management System or related subjects.
- 10% Maintain a working knowledge of the business unit processes, procedures and current LMS application, learning content and distance learning program. Multi-task to work on several projects simultaneously, recommending improvements and that may impact the business.
- 10% Serve as the Subject Matter Expert in regard to the LMS and reporting functions.
Direct Manager/Direct Reports:
- Typically reports to the Manager of Learning Execution.
- A business analyst may report to this role on a permanent basis. It may also require the technical leadership of a project work team: may select team members and assess capabilities, provide technical training, provide information necessary to meet work, project or program objectives, evaluate program or project performance.
Travel Requirements:
- Typically requires overnight travel less than 10% of the time.
Physical Requirements:
- Most of the time is spent sitting in a comfortable position and there is frequent opportunity to move about. On rare occasions there may be a need to move or lift light articles.
Working Conditions:
- Located in a comfortable indoor area. Any unpleasant conditions would be infrequent and not objectionable.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Must be eighteen years of age or older.
- Must be legally permitted to work in the United States.
Minimum Education:
- The knowledge, skills and abilities typically acquired through the completion of a bachelor's degree program or equivalent degree in a field of study related to the job.
Preferred Education:
- Bachelor's degree in related field
- Experience with reporting tools and software such as Google Cloud Platform, Big Query
- Experience with needs analysis, learning data analysis, and reporting
- Experience with programming in R and Python
- Experience with Looker Studio, PowerBI, and Tableau
- Proficiency with traditional desktop software, especially Microsoft Excel
- Possesses working knowledge of HR
- Experience with managing projects

Paid Time Off Benefits
