Pay Range
The pay range for this position is between $62,000.00 – $72,000.00.
Starting wage may vary based on a number of factors including, but not limited to, the position being offered, location, education, training, and/or experience. The Home Depot offers additional competitive and non-financial benefits, which may include a performance-based bonus program or a profit sharing program depending on position.
Position Purpose:
The purpose of this position is to maximize the productivity of all delivery resources (drivers, trailers, and vehicles) to ensure that rental assets are delivered and picked up on time. To achieve this, Logistics Coordinators must work with Stores, Rental Sales Representatives, and Rental Delivery Drivers to ensure all parties are executing as desired and that each party is accountable for service failures. The Logistics Coordinator manages the Large Equipment delivery process by planning and adjusting complex delivery routes to meet deliverables, maximize efficiency, and address delivery challenges. The position also manages the dispute resolution process, acting as a liaison between all stakeholders. The Logistics Coordinator must routinely think creatively to find solutions to problems and make recommendations based on routing and delivery expertise. Each coordinator is responsible for the network and has a specific focus on regions.
Key Responsibilities:
- 30% – Collaboration – This role is responsible for leading cross-functional projects and participating in team strategy discussions. Partners with the Contact Center on prospective rentals. Complete daily pick-up confirmation calls. Partners with sales team to assist with sales inquiries, appointments, equipment availability, and other opportunities. Partners with other facilities/locations on sourcing fleet for upcoming jobs. Partners with leadership on scheduling transportation of fleet being transferred from another facility. Partners with outside haulers when needed to deliver equipment. Troubleshoots reports daily and partners to resolve.
- 5% – Compliance, Safety & Training – Promotes overall safety and supports leadership where applicable. Perform all work and assignments in accordance with proper safety practices. Maintain regulatory compliance and DOT driving standards.
- 10% – Dispute Resolution – Manages the dispute resolution process with customers by analyzing and exploring various solutions and making recommendations to stores or other business partners.
- 55% – Routing, Planning, and Problem Solving – Uses discretion and independent judgment to plan driver routes that will meet customer needs while maximizing efficiency. This includes strategic planning to achieve on-time delivery of 90% or better as well as working with Technicians to ensure equipment is rental-ready and preloaded to ensure efficiency within an assigned region and adjusting routes to address various delivery challenges. This involves complex decision-making in a fast-paced environment. The Logistics Coordinator also makes recommendations for process changes that align with business goals.

- This position reports to the Rental Operations Supervisor or Regional Rental Manager

Travel Requirements:
- Typically requires overnight travel less than 10% of the time.
Physical Requirements:
- Most of the time is spent sitting in a comfortable position and there is frequent opportunity to move about. On rare occasions, there may be a need to move or lift light articles.
Working Conditions:
- Located in a comfortable indoor area. Any unpleasant conditions would be infrequent and not objectionable.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Must be 18 years of age or older.
- Must be legally permitted to work in the United States.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite
- Working knowledge of presentation software (e.g., Microsoft PowerPoint)
- Demonstrated ability to collaborate and work effectively with cross-functional teams
- Demonstrated project management skills
- Ability to convey complex or technical ideas and processes in easy-to-understand terms to diverse audiences
- Ability to negotiate, handle complaints, settle disputes, and resolve grievances with both internal and external customers
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills

Paid Time Off Benefits
Salaried associates are eligible for 2 weeks of vacation in their first year; FT hourly will be eligible for 40 hours of paid vacation time after 6 months of continuous service; (for positions in Washington State, Spokane, and Tacoma only) – Salary and Temporary associates will earn 1 hour of sick time for every 40 hours worked; FT associates will earn 1 hour of sick time for every 40 hours worked or 4 hours per month, whichever is greater; (for positions in Seattle only) – Salary and Temporary associates will earn 1 hour of sick time for every 30 hours worked; FT associates will earn 1 hour of sick time for every 30 hours worked or 4 hours per month, whichever is greater.
