Sr. Director if candidate possesses:
- Broad financial services experience including credit card product management and/or issuance, credit analytics (marketing/direct marketing, lifecycle management) P&L oversight, new program development, enterprise level negotiations with vendors, payments (cost out, network relationships, negotiations with payment processors and networks – processing and routing).
Primary Responsibilities:
- Oversight of the development and management of THD’s Trade Credit Program which includes:
- Outlining strategic staffing plan for the Trade Credit Team
- Implementation of Trade Credit policy
- Optimization and efficiency of the team
- Oversight of credit risk policies for THDs proprietary credit programs (Consumer and Commercial Credit, Project Financing, and alternative loan programs)
- Thorough understanding of a risk appetite framework and how policy modification impacts outcomes
- Balances and appropriately assesses risk/losses with sales generation activities
- Oversight of decision making on THDs line accommodation program which is THD underwriting of unsecured line requests that Citi is unable to accommodate
- Optimize portfolio performance minimizing chargeoffs and maximizing sales
- Detailed tracking and analysis of customer accounts through the lifecycle
- Evaluation of accounts for other THD credit programs including Trade Credit
- Strategic leadership contribution to the direction and optimization of THDs credit programs
- Providing input into new initiatives and capabilities and helping shape the direction of credit programs
- Understanding how policy changes can impact the customer experience and providing input to ensure changes are aligned to the strategic direction of the team and company

- Providing guidance, direction, and support to a large team of individuals focused on balancing decisions that allow customers to purchase with risks (the potential for bad debt)

- Financial Acumen
- Principles of underwriting: ability to understand and leverage financial statements, corporate structures, and risk instruments in order to make decisions (helping team with decisions) on extensions of credit for large and medium sized businesses
- Ability to understand risk policies and risk appetite frameworks to determine the appropriate policies to implement, balancing potential for losses with impacts to top line sales
- Managing Complexity and Business Insight
- Helping the team solve complicated challenges with new capabilities like Trade Credit – eventually integrating this into other selling channels and experiences like THDs loyalty platform and other capabilities we are building to win planned purchases from the Pro
- Influence
- Ability to partner with third parties on changes to programs that benefit THD customers, sales
- Ability to influence internal groups on new programs and changes that need to be made that support delivering stated outcomes (sales, reduction in cost, efficient processes, etc.)
- Strategic Negotiations
- Ability to negotiate agreements with enterprise providers that provide services to THD, seeking the most favorable outcome for THD and THD customers. Agreements include service providers of Trade Credit, payment providers, Private Label credit providers.
- Experience with underwriting and credit portfolios is a plus

Hybrid – An associate in a hybrid role blends in-office and remote/virtual working to complete their job duties. An associate may be required to work from a designated Home Depot location on some days, and may work from a virtual/remote location on others. We also refer to this as location – flex.
