The Marketing Specialist supports the delivery of strategic, revenue-driving initiatives and is a point-of-contact for internal and external stakeholders. The Marketing Specialist will provide reporting and analysis, manage projects, develop briefs and work on special projects in order to drive revenue.
Key Responsibilities:
- 20% Analyze previous marketing campaign performance to determine the ROI and provide recommendations to maximize the impact of future campaigns. May collaborate directly with small to medium spend vendors on campaign performance and recommend incremental spend. Supports analysis activities and recommendations for large projects.
- 20% Partner with key stakeholders in developing strategic marketing briefs for upcoming marketing campaigns. Evaluate and provide recommendations on audience, channel, spend and messaging based upon an analysis of previous results.
- 25% Partner with project manager and cross-channel teams to execute base and vendor-funded marketing initiatives. Produce briefs to articulate campaign vision and goal to cross-channel partners. Seeks necessary Merchant approvals.
- 30% Create reports using online reporting tools. Track and record competitive activity by each Fiscal Week. Report out on marketing and competitive activity during internal status updates and merchant staff meetings.
- 5% Work on special projects as directed.
Direct Manager/Direct Reports:
- Reports to Manager or Sr Manager, Merchandise Marketing.
- This role has no direct reports.
Travel Requirements:
- Typically requires overnight travel less than 10% of the time.
Physical Requirements:
- Most of the time is spent sitting in a comfortable position and there is frequent opportunity to move about. On rare occasions there may be a need to move or lift light articles.
Working Conditions:
- Located in a comfortable indoor area. Any unpleasant conditions would be infrequent and not objectionable.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Must be eighteen years of age or older.
- Must be legally permitted to work in the United States.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Advertising or a business related field preferred
- At least 3 years of previous advertising, marketing, media, social or agency experience preferred
- Previous experience managing projects preferred
- SharePoint experience preferred
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
- Ability to communicate with all levels in the organization
- Ability to pick-up and apply knowledge to daily responsibilities quickly
- Project management skills
- Deadline-oriented
