Position Purpose:
The Financial Analyst – Supply Chain Finance will support forecasting, expense allocations, and planning for Local Delivery. This role will assist Delivery Operations and Merch Finance in managing supply chain related expenses from both a forecasting and allocations perspective as well as creating ad hoc analyses and implementing process improvement initiatives through long-term projects.
This position requires strong interpersonal skills. The Financial Analyst will interact with Finance, Accounting, and business partners in Delivery Operations/Merchandising.
Duties in this position may include, but are not limited to, preparing monthly and ad hoc reporting for leadership, managing forecast inputs and fielding questions from business partners, and providing other Finance teams with supply chain related support.
Key Responsibilities:
- Performs economic and financial research and analyzes internal and external issues related to sales, gross margin, rate of return, working capital, investment, financial performance, and other financial metrics.
- Compiles or prepares reports, graphs and charts of developed data.
- Conducts special financial and statistical studies as directed in coordination with other departments in the preparation of statistical studies.
- Gathers and correlates basic information using established and defined financial procedures
Direct Manager/Direct Reports:
- This position typically reports to a Senior Financial Analyst.
- This position typically has no direct reports.
- Typically requires some persuasion or influencing of others.
- Typically procedures for analyzing situations and making conclusions are very diverse.
- Typically considers among many different options or procedures when solving problems.
- Typically progress or results of work is periodically checked. Has some leeway to change work procedures.
Travel Requirements:
- Typically requires overnight travel less than 10% of the time.
Physical Requirements:
- Most of the time is spent sitting in a comfortable position and there is frequent opportunity to move about. On rare occasions there may be a need to move or lift light articles.
Working Conditions:
- Located in a comfortable indoor area. Any unpleasant conditions would be infrequent and not objectionable.
- Must meet reasonable deadlines, quotas or demands for accuracy and/or may be involved in some mildly difficult situations
Minimum Qualifications:
- Must be eighteen years of age or older.
- Must be legally permitted to work in the United States.
Preferred Qualifications:
- A Bachelor’s degree in Finance or related field
- Consulting and project management experience preferred
- Strong financial analysis, strategic thinking, and presentation skills
- Technically proficient in Microsoft Office suite with emphasis on Excel and PowerPoint
- Technically proficient in Tableau and GBQ/SQL is preferred
- Strong ability to build relationships with all levels of the organization
- Acts with urgency; is decisive and action-oriented; sets aggressive goals and achieves them; creates accountability
- Has a passion for excellence and process improvement; provides the highest quality results to meet customers' need
Minimum Education:
- The knowledge, skills and abilities typically acquired through the completion of a bachelor's degree program or equivalent degree in a field of study related to the job.

Hybrid – An associate in a hybrid role blends in-office and remote/virtual working to complete their job duties. An associate may be required to work from a designated Home Depot location on some days, and may work from a virtual/remote location on others. We also refer to this as location – flex.
