The pay range for this position is between $80,000.00 – $150,000.00.
Starting wage may vary based on a number of factors including, but not limited to, the position being offered, location, education, training, and/or experience. The Home Depot offers additional competitive and non-financial benefits, which may include a performance-based bonus program or a profit sharing program depending on position.
Position Purpose:
The Sr. Software Engineer is responsible for independently developing and consistently redesigning/refactoring a product to adapt to our customers and associates needs. As a Sr. Software Engineer, you will be part of a dynamic team with engineers of all experience levels who help each other build and grow technical and leadership skills while creating, deploying, and supporting production applications. In addition, Sr. Software Engineers may be involved in product and tool selection, configuration, security, resilience, performance tuning and production monitoring as well as mentoring less experienced engineers.
Key Responsibilities:
- As Workday Compensation lead, primary responsibility will include lead and support the Compensation Workstream
- 5 years of experience as an IT technical lead supporting Workday compensation/advanced compensation – supporting merit, stock, comp related project work
- Must understand the touchpoints between other workstreams (i.e., HCM)
- Technical lead with ability to partner with all technical and non-technical teams/setup & coordinate work efforts/testing efforts amongst many teams (business/product/operations/internal IT teams).
- Responsible for supporting merit cycle launches, enhancements (including compensation grid configuration, compensation review options, compensation review templates, includes business process edits, merit cycle support).
- Experience with creation of new plans, comp grades, comp grade profiles, rolling out new comp plans, setup eligibility rules, calculated fields.
- Updating employee comp data through EIB.
- Hands on experience required performing business process configuration/changes (i.e., merit business process with shared participation grid)
- Solid report writing skills, must be able to troubleshoot, strong analytical and mathematical skill set is required.
- Works closely with all Workday leads, product managers, business stakeholders, other colleagues as needed to configure and support Workday System.
- Must be a problem solver and able to deliver solutions.
- Supports development and standardized processes, evaluates current processes, and makes adjustment as needed including but not limited to technical processes, data integrity, systems integration and communication methods.
- Works with subject matter experts and cross functional team to address questions, perform research, finalize requirements, and perform system testing.
- Participates in Workday bi-annual release planning and testing and proactively remains informed about Workday Compensation functionality. Must understand release impacts against current Compensation system.
- Identifies, recommends and track opportunities for process and operational improvements.
- Collaborates with all functional workstreams to ensure effective system setup and different processes both internally and externally between systems and vendors.

- No travel required.
Physical Requirements:
- Most of the time is spent sitting in a comfortable position and there is frequent opportunity to move about. On rare occasions there may be a need to move or lift light articles.

- Located in a comfortable indoor area. Any unpleasant conditions would be infrequent and not objectionable.

- Must be eighteen years of age or older.
- Must be legally permitted to work in the United States.

Paid Time Off (PTO):
