Position Purpose:
The Senior Analyst, Vendor Mgmt, will support the Director of QuoteCenter Business Operations by providing in-depth analysis and insights into supplier performance, market trends, and vendor management strategies. This role is crucial in driving data-driven decision-making, helping the business optimize its vendor network and quoting processes for Truss, EWP, and Takeoff estimating services. The Senior Analyst will play a key part in ensuring that the vendor network remains competitive, efficient, and aligned with business objectives. They will collaborate with cross-functional teams and contribute to strategic initiatives to improve operational excellence and supplier engagement.
Key Responsibilities:

30% Data Analysis & Reporting:
-
Collects, compiles, and analyzes data related to vendor performance, pricing accuracy, on-time delivery, and overall service levels.

Partners with data team to create comprehensive performance reports and dashboards to track supplier KPIs and provide actionable insights to the Manager and senior stakeholders.

Identifies trends, outliers, and opportunities for improvement in supplier behavior and performance.

Collaborates with the finance team to ensure accuracy and alignment in pricing data and financial reporting.

Provides detailed monthly, quarterly, and annual reports, highlighting areas of risk and recommending corrective actions.

30% Supplier Support:

Provides daily issue resolution support for vendor-related issues ensuring that the problem is resolved and helps to identify solutions to more systemic issues.

Acts as liaison between the vendors and business partners across the Pro organization.

20% Market Research & Vendor Sourcing Support:
-
Conducts research on regional markets, including new suppliers, industry trends, and pricing benchmarks.

Assists in identifying potential vendors by evaluating their service offerings, market presence, and pricing competitiveness.

Provides the Complex Quoting Manager with insights on supplier availability, regional trends, and market gaps that could be filled by new or existing suppliers.

Supports vendor negotiations by providing data-backed insights to inform decision-making on contract terms and pricing.

20% Process Improvement & Vendor Performance Monitoring:

Works closely with the Manager to track and evaluate the efficiency of current vendor management processes and identifies areas for improvement.

Analyzes vendor performance data to highlight bottlenecks or inefficiencies within the quoting process and suggest process enhancements.

Develops and implements new analytical frameworks or reporting tools to better measure supplier performance and process efficiency.

Collaborates with the Manager to ensure vendor performance goals are met and maintained through continuous improvement initiatives.

Typically requires overnight travel 20% to 50% of the time.
Physical Requirements:

Most of the time is spent sitting in a comfortable position and there is frequent opportunity to move about. On rare occasions, there may be a need to move or lift light articles.

Located in a comfortable indoor area. Any unpleasant conditions would be infrequent and not objectionable.
Minimum Qualifications:

Must be eighteen years of age or older.

Must be legally permitted to work in the United States.
Preferred Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in Business, Analytics, Supply Chain, or a related field.

2+ years of data analysis or vendor management experience.

Advanced proficiency in Excel and data visualization tools (Tableau, etc.).

Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex data sets and provide actionable insights.

Excellent organizational and time management skills, with a strong attention to detail.

Ability to work collaboratively in cross-functional teams and manage multiple projects simultaneously.

Prior experience in the building materials or construction industry is a plus.
