Position Purpose:
The Laboratory Manager will be responsible for managing and operating the Home Depot Engineering Laboratory. The manager will assign and track all testing, ensure testing is conducted on schedule, and adheres to written protocol. The manager is responsible to develop Standard Operating Procedures (SOP's) which maintain a safe, professional environment in accordance with State and Federal regulatory requirements and maintain proper accreditation as required for Testing Laboratories.
Key Responsibilities:

40% Manage the laboratory and maintain standard processes and equipment capabilities

30% Provide testing services for THD

20% Provide testing expertise to customers of the laboratory

10% Identify cost-out opportunities in existing products and/or processes
Direct Manager/Direct Reports:

This Position typically reports to Sr Manager

This Position has 4-5 direct reports.
Travel Requirements:

Typically requires overnight travel less than 5% of the time.
Physical Requirements:

Requires intermittent periods during which continuous physical exertion is required, such as walking, standing, stooping, climbing, lifting material or equipment, some of which may be heavy or awkward.
Working Conditions:

Located in a comfortable indoor area. Conditions could produce mild discomfort on occasion.
Minimum Qualifications:

Must be eighteen years of age or older.

Onsite – An associate in an onsite role is required to work at a specific Home Depot location in order to complete their job duties. We also refer to this as location – dependent.
