Position Purpose:
A Sr. Analyst – SOP Content Specialist uses a basic understanding of distribution center processes to gather content and prepare technical operational content in support of those processes. SOP Content Specialists should possess good communication and writing skills that support Logistics management. Solves problems by considering courses of action within the framework of business goals and standards. Operates with minimal supervision and once given general assignments, prioritizes and executes tasks. Provides and communicates recommendations to upper management. Mentors and guides Logistics Analysts in daily work tasks. Must be a self-starter, detail oriented, able to support and lead multiple projects, possess excellent communication skills, work well with a team, interact with multiple levels and functions with the organization, and able to manage vendor/business relationships. – Daily project activity coordination for multiple large-scale initiatives. Performs analysis in support of requested business and systemic enhancements.
Key Responsibilities:
- 60% Analyze DC Processes, collaborate, create/edit, and manage the technical writing of business partners in the production of new and revised content. Subject matter expert in the process of creating format, and layout of SOPs. SOP writing management including meeting timelines, acquiring proper approvals and adjusting content.
- 15% identifying and partnering to ensure related Smart Access content is updated and aligns with SOPs
- 15% Review of SOPs: Responsible for proactive reviews of SOP material to ensure current processes for all operational areas of the company are reflected, and to partner to make any/all necessary changes.
- 5% Research archives to assist in legal discovery, use documentation content management system to design, create and maintain the SOP site and links on the Company intranet to the standards and for maximum effect.
- 5% Reporting / Partnering w/manager: Compile weekly reporting presentations for business partners

- This position reports to Manager of Sr Manager

Travel Requirements:
- Typically requires overnight travel less than 20% of the time.
Physical Requirements:
- Most of the time is spent sitting in a comfortable position and there is frequent opportunity to move about. On rare occasions there may be a need to move or lift light articles.
Working Conditions:
- Located in a comfortable indoor area. Any unpleasant conditions would be infrequent and not objectionable.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Must be eighteen years of age or older.
- Must be legally permitted to work in the United States.
Preferred Qualifications:
- DC experience, Industrial Engineering, Business Administration
- Experience with Six Sigma or other Process Improvement Methodology
- Proficient in: Microsoft Office Suite including Access, Excel, Powerpoint, Project, Word and Visio.
