Company Overview
What’s the best place we’ve ever built? The place where we work. At Home Depot, our goal is to provide the highest level of service, the broadest selection of products, and the most competitive prices. As the world’s largest home improvement specialty retailer, we operate more than 2,200 retail stores across North America. And each of our associates are focused one thing — helping our customers build and improve their homes, businesses, and ultimately their lives.
Position Purpose:
At The Home Depot, UX helps transform complex enterprise operations into intuitive, effective experiences. As a member of the User Experience team, you will help shape the systems, services, and workflows that power one of the world's largest retailers.
We are seeking a service design focused UX Designer who thrives in complex environments and is passionate about improving experiences across interconnected teams, processes, and technologies. You bring a deep understanding of human-centered design, service design methodologies, and systems thinking, enabling you to uncover opportunities, connect user needs with business goals, and solve meaningful problems at scale.
In this role, you will partner closely with product managers, software engineers, researchers, data scientists, and business stakeholders to design end-to-end experiences that improve how associates and customers interact with our products and services. You will actively contribute to every stage of the design process, from framing problems to synthesizing research, mapping service ecosystems, and creating future-state experiences.
This is a highly collaborative, hands-on role for someone who enjoys rolling up their sleeves and doing the work. Whether developing service blueprints, journey maps, workflows, prototypes, or experience frameworks, you are energized by bringing clarity to ambiguity and translating complex systems into intuitive, actionable solutions. You are equally comfortable in facilitating alignment among stakeholders, exploring opportunities through research and design thinking, and delivering tangible artifacts that drive decision-making and meaningful outcomes.
Through curiosity, creativity, and a strong focus on the people behind the experience, you help shape enterprise solutions that are useful, usable, and impactful.

Displays situational adaptability, is able to step in and drive change in products to better align with user needs or organizational goals. Has courage and organizational savvy to drive this change.
- 5% – Coaching and Mentoring – Actively refers outside talent. Coaches junior resources in UX activities. Mentors apprentices in product or workstream.
