Company Overview
What’s the best place we’ve ever built? The place where we work. At Home Depot, our goal is to provide the highest level of service, the broadest selection of products, and the most competitive prices. As the world’s largest home improvement specialty retailer, we operate more than 2,200 retail stores across North America. And each of our associates are focused one thing — helping our customers build and improve their homes, businesses, and ultimately their lives.
Position Purpose:
The Lead Decision Analyst within Services Online Analytics serves as a data strategy consultant and senior analytical partner for the Home Services online portfolio. This role works cross-functionally with Product Managers, UX, Merchants, Marketing, and Data Engineering/Science teams to evaluate the success of web content upgrades, design experimentation frameworks, design/maintain analytics pipelines and deliver actionable insights that reduce customer friction and grow the online lead-generation funnel.
This role puts on a Product Manager hat for analytics — defining what analytical solutions are needed for the problems being solved, not just executing requests. The Lead Analyst partners closely with the Analytics Engineer to define pipeline architecture on Dataform, collaborates with Data Science/Engineering to ensure robust and accurate data pipelines, and mentors Senior Analysts and Analysts on the team. They bring strong knowledge of online clickstream analytics, A/B testing and causal inference, and an emerging understanding of AI-based storytelling and automated insights (e.g., MCP servers, LLM-generated narratives) to continuously elevate the team's analytical maturity.
The role supports numerous new data initiatives across the Services Online portfolio — from service-provider performance tracking to self-scheduling pilot measurement to OKR dashboard development — ensuring leadership has consistent, reliable, and timely visibility into online performance.
Key Responsibilities:
- 20% – Business Collaboration – Leverage extensive business knowledge into solution approach. Effectively develop trust and collaboration with internal customers and cross-functional teams. Partner with Other Orgs to understand potential for new tools and ways to maintain technical agility for advanced analytics.

Collaborate with managers and team in the distribution of workload and resources. Serve as a technical subject matter expert (SME) on both predictive and prescriptive analytics. Drive effective Agile project delivery protocols to assure we gather and surface reliable, actionable enterprise level analytics. Ensure the team comprehends and applies the established processes and standards and mentor team on development.
- 30% – Solution Development – Effectively communicate insights and recommendations to both technical and non-technical leaders and business customers/partners. Clearly communicate impacts of recommendations to drive alignment and appropriate implementation. Develops solutions to transform data into useful, actionable information.
- 25% – Technical Exploration & Development – Guide and direct project teams in the requirements gathering, design, and development of complex applications/programs. Provide technical education on advanced analytics to analytics community. Drive analytics teams to get matured in predictive and prescriptive analytics.
