Company Overview
What’s the best place we’ve ever built? The place where we work. At Home Depot, our goal is to provide the highest level of service, the broadest selection of products, and the most competitive prices. As the world’s largest home improvement specialty retailer, we operate more than 2,200 retail stores across North America. And each of our associates are focused one thing — helping our customers build and improve their homes, businesses, and ultimately their lives.
Position Purpose:
The Sr Analyst, Supplier Operations serves as a vital technical and operational partner driving the success of online merchandising and marketplace operations. Combining expert-level data analytics with hands-on supplier support, this role leverages SQL and Google BigQuery to navigate massive, complex item datasets, optimize fulfillment configurations (Ship-to-Customer and Ship-to-Store), and execute key data strategies for major system rollouts, including Mirakl.
Beyond backend data mastery, the Senior Analyst acts as a primary operational liaison for external partners—managing ticketing workflows, troubleshooting complex system issues, and empathetically resolving high-stakes supplier escalations. Partnering closely with Merchandise Planning Managers and Online Merchants, you will translate enterprise-scale data into actionable business solutions, drive process efficiencies, and elevate overall supplier engagement to maximize sales and profitability.
Key Responsibilities:
- 30% Partner with Merchandise Planning Managers and Online Merchants to analyze business drivers, provide insightful assessments and execute strategies to achieve business objectives.
- 40% Track and measure business performance via execution of key daily, weekly and monthly reporting; seek out opportunities to continuously improve reporting efforts.
- 30% Contribute to projects and new initiatives with further strategic business objectives.
Direct Manager/Direct Reports:
- Position reports to Sr Manager, Merchandise Planning-Online
- No direct reports
Travel Requirements:
- Typically requires overnight travel less than 10% of the time.
Physical Requirements:
- Most of the time is spent sitting in a comfortable position and there is frequent opportunity to move about. On rare occasions there may be a need to move or lift light articles.
Working Conditions:
- Located in a comfortable indoor area. Any unpleasant conditions would be infrequent and not objectionable.
- No travel required
Minimum Qualifications:
- Must be eighteen years of age or older.
- Must be legally permitted to work in the United States.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Expert-level proficiency in SQL and Google BigQuery (GBQ) is required, with proven experience manipulating and querying massive, enterprise-scale datasets. Experience using Python for data analysis or automation is a strong plus.
- Hands-on experience executing data strategies for complex system rollouts or platform integrations, preferably with enterprise e-commerce tools like Mirakl or similar marketplace solutions.
- Strong background in supplier-facing operations and ticketing workflows, with a proven ability to troubleshoot complex issues and manage high-stakes, sensitive partner de-escalations with empathy and tact.
- Familiarity with e-commerce fulfillment dynamics, item-level data structures, and configuration models such as Ship-to-Customer (STC) and Ship-to-Store (STS).
- High degree of intellectual curiosity with a holistic "systems thinking" mindset—able to understand how interconnected enterprise systems interact rather than analyzing isolated data sets.
- Demonstrated ability to build business models and translate heavy technical data into clear, actionable reporting using tools like SQL, Tableau, and Excel to influence cross-functional leadership.
- Exceptional organizational skills with a track record of independently prioritizing daily operational ticketing, live troubleshooting, and long-term strategic project deliverables in a fast-paced environment.
