Pay Range
The pay range for this position is between $90,000.00 – $160,000.00.
Starting wage may vary based on a number of factors including, but not limited to, the position being offered, location, education, training, and/or experience. The Home Depot offers additional competitive and non-financial benefits, which may include a performance-based bonus program or a profit sharing program depending on position.
Position Purpose:
The Staff Software Engineer is responsible for leading a team of engineers building and designing a product that our customers and associates love. As a Staff Software Engineer, you will be part of a dynamic team with engineers of all experience levels who help each other build and grow technical and leadership skills while creating, deploying, and supporting production applications. In addition, Staff Software Engineers will assist in product and tool selection, configuration, security, resilience, performance tuning and production monitoring.
Staff Software Engineers contribute to foundational code elements that can be reused as well as architectural diagrams and other product-related documentation.
As a Staff Software Engineer, you will be a core player on the product team and are expected to build and grow the skillsets of the more junior Engineers.

- 20% Supports and Enables – Fields questions from product and engineering teams; Helps grow junior engineers by providing guidance on modern software development frameworks, and leading technical discussions; Notes gaps on the team and provides suggestions for changes to make the team more productive

Travel Requirements:
- No travel required.
Physical Requirements:
- Most of the time is spent sitting in a comfortable position and there is frequent opportunity to move about. On rare occasions there may be a need to move or lift light articles.
Working Conditions:
- Located in a comfortable indoor area. Any unpleasant conditions would be infrequent and not objectionable.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Must be eighteen years of age or older.
- Must be legally permitted to work in the United States.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Proven ability to Design, configure, and deploy business solutions for OpenText Content Server, OpenText Enterprise Scan, and OpenText Capture Center
- Experience working with 3rd party implementation partners to assist with application deployment, configuration, training, and post-deployment support
- Experience with Enterprise Content Management (ECM) solutions for SAP
- Experience producing appropriate design, deployment, and support documentation for solutions and applications
- Possess an understanding of technological trends in areas of document and records management and the ability to use this knowledge to bring solutions to business units supported to enhance the enterprise's competitive edge.
- 5+ years hands on experience working with OpenText Content Server version 9.x, 10.x, or 16.x, including creating taxonomies and metadata, building forms, views, reports, and configuring permissions
- 5+ years with scanning documents into OpenText using Enterprise Scan or Capture Center
- Any experience with SAP archiving, ILM and DART for data extraction
- Demonstrated experience designing, building, and deploying document-based workflow solutions
- Demonstrated proficiency in gathering business requirements, documenting business process flows, and creating use cases and user scenarios
- Demonstrated proficiency in creating test plans and cases and executing test scripts
- Experience producing end user documentation and providing training and guidance to business users
- Strong knowledge of OpenText Content Server capabilities, including:
- Content Server Fundamentals
- Content Server Development exposure
- Records Management Module
- Custom Views
- Web Forms
- Appearances
- Live Reports
- CIS Modeling (Taxonomy; Categories and Attributes; and Users, Groups, and Security)
