The Power of Ideas. The Power of You.

Diversity is the catalyst for innovative thinking, entrepreneurial spirit and new ways of building our communities. The greater the diversity of our people, the greater our ability to serve our customers and communities. At The Home Depot, we firmly believe that talent comes in many forms, and we celebrate each and every one of them.

It is talent, above all else, that is cultivated, nourished and is the foundation of our culture.

Every year I host a 5K run to raise scholarship dollars for deserving young students who want to attend a Historically Black College or University (HBCU).This year, Home Depot participated in a big way! I've been a member of the Air Force Reserves for almost 20 years. When I started at THD, I had just begun my journey as an Officer. I was told that I needed to attend a development course and The Home Depot supported my leave 100%. My manager made sure I understood my job would be here when I returned, and assisted me with the ins and outs of pay and benefits during leave.

The Home Depot realizes that its most valuable assets are its associates. Over the last 18 years, the leadership and mentors surrounding me have helped me find my path through their tremendous support and insight. They always challenge and inspire me to acheive higher levels of performance. I've been a Store Manager for the last 8 years and have been able to help others develop in the same way others helped me.
