The Power of Ideas. The Power of You.

You Make Us Diverse
How We Embrace Others Makes Us Inclusive

Diversity is the unique set of differences and similarities that our associates, customers, and suppliers bring to The Home Depot. Inclusion is welcoming and accepting differences to ensure that associates, customers, and suppliers can openly share their perspectives and bring their whole selves to The Home Depot every day.

  • We Help Each Other

I have been with The Home Depot for just over 9 years. Nothing in my previous experience comes close to the level of dedication that the company has for our associates, and the communities in which we operate. I have witnessed this outpouring of care and support for co-workers during personal tragedies, via The Homer Fund. The caring mentality has also been shown for associates and members of the community following the tornado in Joplin, MO and Hurricane Sandy in New Jersey. I do not know of any other company that exhibits the same level of caring.

  • Living the Values

The Home Depot is renowned for standing by its associates who in turn embody its values every day. I am fortunate to have had the support of this great company as I built my career and knowledge with amazing and challenging projects like the overhaul of its supply chain distribution network to its HR services architecture processes in the past 9 years. In addition, through the associate resource groups that Home Depot provides to our associates I have been able to give back to our communities and celebrate our associate’s diversity. I look forward to continue living these values and helping others develop in their careers just as I have been supported throughout mine.

  • Service Before Self - Commitment to Associates

I've been a member of the Air Force Reserves for almost 20 years. When I started at The Home Depot, I had just begun my journey as an Officer. I was told that I needed to attend a development course and the company supported my leave 100%. My manager made sure I understood my job would be here when I returned, and assisted me with the ins and outs of pay and benefits during leave.

The Home Depot realizes that its most valuable assets are its associates. Over the last 18 years, the leadership and mentors surrounding me have helped me find my path through their tremendous support and insight. They always challenge and inspire me to acheive higher levels of performance. I've been a Store Manager for the last 8 years and have been able to help others develop in the same way others helped me.
